cjnwriter chapter 1 . 7/8/2014 Wow, that was painful to read, but very worth it. Great work! |
BakerStreetIsLastRefugeOfHope chapter 1 . 2/23/2012 Very good. |
cccahill18 chapter 1 . 8/7/2006 This was truly powerful, and just as emotional as "Only a Violet From My Mother's Grave." I really enjoyed your writing style, and I'm glad you decided to write this sequel! -Hannah |
TopazOwl chapter 1 . 2/25/2006 I have only two words...*tear* spectacular work! |
Hermione Holmes chapter 1 . 12/19/2005 Hey there! Wow, I read this a week ago or something but I haven't been able to review until now, (exams are finally over), but I want to say that I absolutely love this- possibly even more than "Only A Violet...", if that's possible. You've managed to perfectly capture Holmes's character and disheartedness- that sense of being lost and misplaced- brilliantly done. And it's not just your portrayal of Holmes, but it actually seems like this could be from canon. Absolutely incredible. I especially loved the part where he's on the ledge and he's ruminating his next step- there aren't words enough to describe it. I loved it so much, actually, that I've been inspired to draw it. Or at least try to, since I haven't drawn anything in four years or something. But, anyway, I've got rough drafts of a couple of panels- I hope you don't think it too presumptous or silly of me, but I really was moved by this piece. Anywho, excellent job- looking forward to more soon! P.S. I do agree that a younger Everett would have been better- or Jonathan Rhys-Myers from "Bend it Like Beckham" - |
Tasha chapter 1 . 11/28/2005 I have read Only a Violet From My Mother's Grave, and I loved it...this story...is it one-shot?...was painfully beautiful. I dont really care for in-character Holmes anyway :) Oh, and 12th paragraph from the bottom: "...the gently curve of her collarbone..." Sorry, the word gently is bothering me :) |
