Saw this recommended on facebook and thought I'd give it a go! On the surface, it ticks all my boxes for "not interested" - in general I prefer HGSS where she's still a student, and fics where they don't have kids. I probably quit 80% of most stories I start reading due to being poorly written or ridiculous premises. Pleased to say I really enjoyed yours though, what a breath of fresh air! :)

I'm not sure a 6 year old could be this emotionally understanding ; maybe a 10 year old who is really very smart.
Even if the child could listen to thoughts, a child just cannot understand adults in this way.
For example, I was stroking pets, thinking they would enjoy it just like me,
and now, being an adult, I understand that they were most probably suffering from me.
