You'd think that it's Hermione who only does this. If we had been in her shoes, we would have certainly told our parents and let them be a part of our world, our support, our backbone, we think. We wouldn't be like that.

But it's true in real life, I see among my peers and friends, they don't really trust their own parents, nor do they want to tell them anything, giving excuses that they 'don't want to be a burden to them'.

That's pitiful, pitying the two very people who brought you to life.

I don't think Hermione is that bad, she can be annoying sometimes, but she is okay. I found this sad, because it's true. Her mother has no idea what is going on while Mrs. Weasley is at least part of it.

That was a really powerful fic. It really felt real, especially when you consider how few times Hermione goes home to her parents even on the holidays as the stories progress. It would be so wierd for both Hermione and her parents, caught on the edges of two diverging worlds.
