Just finished this in one day and I loved how sweet it was! You did a really wonderful job completely restructuring the storyline. Raoul was that perfect villain because he was so single minded, yet with misplaced good intentions (You can't totally hate him but you want to anyway). Erik was lovable as always, still haunted by the past, but his baggage is manageable for Christine (no kidnap, no coerced agreements to marriage.) Christine of course has a real vein of courage and sense of self.
There were a number of really clever witty moments throughout and plenty of Awww moments. The fluff was fluffy but without being obnoxiously fluffy.
Really loved the angle you went with the torture chamber too! That scene where the two of them are kissing together in their own infinity room was just breath taking. I could see that playing out on screen.
Truly a sweet romantic's dream story. I wish they would turn this particular version into a film.

Wonderful story! I'm glad there wasn't a lot of Raoul/Christine stuff. I enjoyed reading a nice romantic story about Erik and Christine. Keep up the good work!

That special note at the end was a beautiful touch. I will always cherish this rendition of the story. Read this 19 years after you wrote it. You are phenomenal. Long live!
