Wow, this is such a beautiful, perfect expansion on the "I'm flying" scene, and I also love how realistically you capture Jack's stream-of-consciousness leading up to it. His regret over seeing her, dismissing the idea of a future with her, then realizing that he loves her - the progression of his thoughts is all very well-done. I'll be sharing this at my forum. :)

Wow, you have a real talent for writing. I loved this story and thought you captured the characters perfectly. The only thing i would change, is when jack "grunted" that almost makes it sound like he was in pain. i would have used a word more like moaned... but its your story, and you know exactly what your doing judging by this story. Keep up the good work!
