Action, camaraderie, a sweet, bittersweet ending, with a lot of humor about Doc and Caje all make this a great story!

Billy in charge! It's a wonderful idea! He seems so good at it, too, like a mini-Sarge. I know he'll right the ship.

I am so shocked I have never reviewed this story. It is one I read a long time ago. I am guessing it must of been on a different site.
But seeing I haven't reviewed it, I will now.
I love this story as much as I did the first time I read it. I love Billy being in charge and actually standing up straight and tall and taking the responsibility seriously.
When Billy knew he had to go, I could feel the emotion tearing at him.
This is a great story and now I must read more and check reviews of a lot of other stories here to see what I've read...and then stupidly forgot to review.

Good Billy to see one focus on his innocence is his main trait, in the situation he must mature to survive with his buddies, and this story forces that regrettable change in him. Another Billy story?
