Phew, I'm glad this was a bit wrapped up and summarized. I was worried it was going to be a cilffy but was marked completed. I love the idea of Gryffindors invading Severus' quarters. Students being in his rooms to play board games is kind of ridiculous. I hope his snakes start to join as that seems like the most adorable thing, little firsties playing Shoots and Ladders with the dungeon bat.

I really liked the improved relationship between Harry and Dudley.
I loved how it was love that destroyed Voldie but more powerful and active than in canon. Harry put Voldie's soul to rest and basically cremated him, scattering his ashes to the winds.
I'm glad that Severus is discovering his own personality.
it's interesting that his mother and grandfather would have actual compulsions on him. The ones from his mother at least didn't seem deliberate and that's kind of sad to imagine that parents' mantras can force obedience like that. Reminds me of Ella Enchanted (one of my favorite books from childhood).
The changes to Hogwarts, at least the way Severus is changing the way he'll teach potions, are exciting.
Though I can't imagine having to cram 3 years of advanced potions into one. The regular O NEWT students don't even have to do that. I feel for them so much but it's nice of Severus to give them that opportunity.

Sleeveless robes seems incredibly impractical for potion work. I'm guessing these are supposed to protect Severus from potion spills and explosions but wouldn't the arms be the body parts closest to the cauldron. Arms and face should be the most protected. Maybe just a spell over the cauldron or the body would solve that then.

Is this going to be slash? With Severus' freedom and freed emotions that cuddling and affection is cute but his subservient behavior would make any relationship with Harry feel wrong.
Also, I have expected Severus to confess that he didn't like the sugary porridge when Harry asked if he'd lied or kept anything secret from him.

The way Dumble's and Voldie's compulsions spells interacted would have left Severus not able to feel anything but anger and hate which explains so much.

Anyone trying to write about that kind of animal is not going to like how it came out...If it were to come out right, the animal would have ceased to live in a gruesome manner...!
I do like the use of parts and pieces of such animals being put to use in potions instead of wasted garbage that you have to dispose of some way. Waste not; want not!
