That last line had me SCREAMING.

I felt like the dots connected with the whole pharmaceutical drugs thing. That made me so worried about Mimi but I'm glad Isamu held that off. But goodness, Taichi's memory being foggy and blacking out and all those symptoms, I should've KNOWN those weren't just "severe drinking until black out" lol. And the tension when Taichi denied a drink from Takumi after the whole reveal.. oof.

Girl, that Taito! Loved it...And to think it was his Mom who asked him over, lolll. But the fluff after, ugh I love those two my gaaahh

Was that dude that Taichi ran into in the hallway.. was that NOBU?! And then THAT scene afterwards.. in which my heart broke as Taichi ran to throw up after seeing that. And, really, there are moments like that line Taichi remembered from Yamato, it just seems like Takumi's been using Taichi as bait for Yamato, and now Yamato's doing that, too. Even worse he sees these two fucking backstage. My heart breaks for our Taichi. Goodness ;_;

The Yagami sibling moment was cute. But the end! I had a feeling this was coming! Takumi said things that hinted at him still having feelings for Yamato, but when he said his name at that moment, I was still surprised!

AAHH! I was waiting for a showdown with Yamato and Takumi! I was surprised by Yama's kiss but it just called back to that conversation a few chapters ago.. Yama's doing this for you, Taichi!

Interesting side development with Hikari and Shiro. At first I thought she was quiet because she was starstruck and sitting with celebs she only met once before- haha! Cute! I'd hate to see sweet Hikari be sucked in by this ongoing hot mess, though. Taichi, be more of the protective brother that you are, please..

I didn't mind that this chapter was long! I got upset that Takumi ended up at the venue where Taichi attempted to sneak to. But you can't get past Takumi, not when he's watching Taichi, and especially not when Taichi's drawing Yamato in front of him? (that whole scene with Taichi tracing his finger on Yama's drawn face because he missed him.. I loved that)

Forgot to mention in the last chapter but since you mentioned it again this first chapter. Taichi NEVER wins! (But then again nobody does in this story haha) but I mean, first it was the drama of getting between Sorato, and now, leaving Takumi for Yama will make him the bad guy either way. Whyy is our Taichi always the bad guy? :(

At first I wondered if Takumi's doing this to make Taichi's life a living hell, maybe so, but I remember that he somehow wants to get back at Yamato. I mean, he even said "I did you a favor". Takumi pisses me off, he's really aggressive and possessive but there's still a mystery as to why he's putting Taichi in this position. And no, I'm not taking that "I was compelled-" bs even though Taichi might have fallen for it himself. And I don't know, him remembering about Mimi's meds, was that him caring? Or is it part of his cruel intentions? Ugh. I love to hate Takumi. :D

I thought you did the press conference scene really well. It was cool to see Mimi do her thing! I also like how you use the word 'schmooze' because that is very Takumi. He really knows how to talk his way out of things, and I've come to observe that press conferences are rehearsed but don't always go as planned, and I think you captured that as well as the frenzy of the journalists not getting all the answers they want.

Lastly - WEDDING BELLS?! Don't you dare, Takumi..

Wow, Takumi. Woooow. What on earth is going on in that boy's head? What is he playing at?! Poor Taichi, and even poor Dad, too x( Of course the twins would be upset! Sure hope Taichi finds a way outta this one (so that he CAN skip off into the sunset with Yama. I want this to happen).

I am happy to at least get some Taito though.

THE LETTER REVEAL. I am having mixed feelings about this because everyone involved, EVERYONE are hot messes. Sora slept with Makoto?! I cannot BELIEVE those two! Sora worried about Yama cheating (saying he's done it one other time) and then Makoto being the protective friend scolding and being kind of an ass to Taichi saying how wrong it all is - Not at ALL hypocritical! At the same time should Yama and Tai be upset about this? Oh gawd it's just a dagger fight. A four-way dagger fight and they're all striking each other's hearts because that's what this fic is about.

Oh, geez, so I wrote this first part of the review after stopping at the paragraph where Taichi called Makoto a bastard. So reading the next line "What a hypocrite" had me cracking up.

.. Also just realized "The Broken String" is just.. maybe I'm overthinking it, I just can't stop thinking of "Broken Strings" by James Morrison and Nelly Furtado (I love that song)

I was trying to do almost a 'play by play' review for this chapter but I ended up getting suckered into reading the rest of the way, haha. All these developments, these questions answered after so long! Yama filling in the history of Sorato, how she lost her baby and how they tried to make it work, and then how he tried to get his notebooks back. I just feel.. pity for everyone even though they're all wrecking themselves. (but really, you can't help who you love as they've been sayin...)

When Yama says Takumi is petty, I believe it! Sooo hard. And when Yama said that Takumi was using Tai to get back at him, and that he needed to get back with Takumi to end it with Tai, wow, girl.. daggers. Daggers all around.

TAICHI SAID THE L WORD FINALLY. Gaah and that Taito scene, yeesss. Thank you for that. On the other hand, Takumi... damn, kid. 'unpredictable' fits here.. and who called him? (psst was it Yama..)

It's worth mentioning, especially with the time stamps and all. I really appreciate you continuing this story as long as you have! Thank you so much for sharing it, and I know life throws things at you when you least expect it, whether good or bad, and writer's block hits, so thank you for writing and posting when you got the chance! xx

Aha! It was a notebook Takumi stole. One of them, anyway. A very interesting turn of events.
I'm so glad I didn't have to miss Yamato for too long! I'm in a better mood now (lol sorry I felt like I was so bitter in my review the last chapter!). Of course, I'm glad that Yama and Taichi met especially after one excruciatingly long month apart. The cliffhanger made me go "ack!" but I realize I have the lucky opportunity to hit 'Next". I'm worried of what might be revealed in Sora's letter...

Gyuuuh it's been a few weeks since I've reviewed! The last chapter just left me *that* heartbroken.
In reality I've just been busy out here in the real world :) But.. I'm still sad and upset about Yamato's jerk move. I don't like Taichi with Takumi. Takumi's a jerk, and YES I'm so glad that Taichi.. for lack of a better term.. grew a pair and lashed out at Takumi. Taichi deserves better than what he succumbed to. If Taichi knew any better, he would have just walked away through the snow and let those two jerks pummel each other to the ground.
Okay, that's that about my irritation of Taichi's love interests. I do feel for him, though. There's just a lot of torment in him and complicated feelings toward both of those guys so I can see why he is where he is.
That dream by the way was heart-wrenching. Love it.
I miss Yamato, too. :(

As Tai ended the phone call with Yamato, Noct's heart shattered into a million pieces.

I really liked the backstory with Mimi, Isamu, and Tai. I'm intrigued to know what comes of Mimi and Isamu, and of Baby Isami.. I like that as a ship name.

Wow, so Takumi has some sort of gripe toward Yama, too? The effect these three boys have on one another, oh my goodness. *casually leans back in chair with more popcorn*

I'm afraid of even guessing your dark ending. I was already tearing up about Yamato in this one. Girl, whyyy.

IT WAS ALL GOING JUST A LITTLE TOO WELL, WASN'T IT?

I loved the Taito fluff. They are so cute together! The whole hair cut thing, Yamato with his wide eyes - Taichi, can you really say no to those? Gaaah. I'm also relieved it was Isamu who had Taichi's phone. My heart also felt a little sad for Sora with the engagement ring on the letter. But it had to happen :(

Poor Mimi, though. And it's Isamu's?! Whaaaaatt. My, my, the plot thickens.

One more thing, I had no idea about Japanese views on Christmas Eve. That's really interesting!

*pops in and waves* Hey, been a while, but I'm back to reading again. And, oh, my heart. I don't know where to begin!

My goodness, that beginning scene was hot. Takumi seems to fulfill all of Taichi's desires and Takumi takes advantage of it because he knows he can, he knows Taichi's weaknesses. It just makes me hate Takumi even more.. Okay, love to hate him is probably a better statement, lol.

Yamato still looks a hot mess (and he is, and damned if I say it so is Taichi, holy crap) still so fragile, the poor guy.. My heart was broken enough up until this point, and to find out that Takumi stole his lyrics. My GOODNESS I can't believe he had the nerve. I'd want Taichi to get rid of Takumi after finding that out... At the same time, something like that won't be easy. I think when Taichi said "if this is true" and all that because he's probably still caught in this lust spell with Takumi that won't just wear off in an instant, even if it's Yamato telling him what happened.

And finally, YES thank you Taichi finally coming to this realization. The spell has yet to be broken! Taichi, just.. get the rest of your s together. That goes for you too, Yamato.

It was inevitable for Taichi to lose his apartment :( I'm glad he has a friend like Isamu, he looks so calm and collected in my eyes. Goodness Taichi, going after Takumi only when you need him - like when Yamato isn't emotionally available or whatever. There's a noticeable difference in how he views Takumi. Yes, he and Matt are beautiful as two wonders of the world, but all Taichi seems to have for Takumi is lust and desire, maybe a little fanboying? He sees the same for Yamato, but of course, with more depth. And no, Taichi, don't lie - you know you're influenced by Takumi with that liquor!

And boyyy do I love Isamu, especially in this chapter! He and Takumi have sparks, not the kind between potential lovers, but the ones of pure loathing. The kind in anime where they go "jiiiiii" I know you know what I mean xD I'm so glad he went with Taichi, I was worried that there would be more of a mess if he went on his own to see Takumi. Isamu did his best to stop things but it seems by the end he might have failed. :(

Also want to comment I really do like your OCs! Takumi included. I'm glad to see their characters expanded as I read this story. I'm still going to glare at Takumi for messing up Taito(which is already messed up to begin with xD) but I'm still intrigued by him and want to know more.

Oh man, what an intense chapter. It's like a tornado of drama coursing through Taichi's life. The apartment thing, and the Yamato thing... that was a steamy Taito scene in every sense of the word, by the way. And then Yamato, the poor complicated fragile being he is - this is all killing meee.
Also I love the way you wrote what happened to Mimi at the end without saying it outright.

Aha! So Taichi was too intoxicated to remember giving the address. The Takumi appearance definitely threw a wrench in the Taito. And the fact that Yamato just up and left without saying anything, and just leaving his guitar? Very telling about what he did. Can't wait to see how Taichi handles it from here. :(

I'm amused by the fact that you addressed Mimi's date from a couple of chapters ago. But, aww you put some Koumi in here! And also I'm now eyeing Mimi and that glass of lemon water at a bar..

I am surprised at Yamato's decision but I do think it's big of him to finally declare that decision. And how Taichi flubs with 'let's talk about this later' - I've noticed he doesn't make decisions on the spot. Either he wants to think them through or he just doesn't want to avoid conflict as long as possible when it comes to this inevitable love triangle. Speaking of,
