The last sentence was like a nasty hit - it left me kind of dizzy and shocked, as if I'd comprehended just by then what this fic is about, as well as close to tears. It is very sad in a way but I can't help but take some solace in the knowledge they are together, even if it is in the Mist. I gather you set the Mist up to be a type of purgatory. A place for people who committed suicide or sacrificed themselves unnecessarily. I have added it to my favorites list. |
