Out of hundreds or thousands of stories on fanfiction that I've read, some of them quite competent and a handful so good as to make me dust off my old account and post a review, this one is the finest. If the yearning is yours, you made it feel like mine. If the melancholy was yours then it seemed to come out of my own melancholy.

I hope you still check these periodically, Nabob. Writers like you make me confident about the state of fanfic as it is today.

I like all the scenes, because, well, I think it shows how old Sesshoumaru really is, although maybe that's just me. . . .

An interesting oneshot that you have written. I enjoyed it, but I didn't enjoy what had happened in it. Does that make any sense? One of the problems with being immortal is the inability to adapt as quickly as those who aren't immortal. You have done an excellent job of showing this with Sesshoumaru. He doesn't seem to know how to adapt to the changing times, especially Rin's death.

I got completely lost during the scene with Inuyasha except for the point that all things with humanities taint in them will die.

But all in all, an enjoyable piece.
