Clark kind of acted like a jerk, yea he is 'just a guy' as he put it but I think he was trying to impress that a bit too much on Lex and took it far enough Lex dreaded even seeing him.

He seemed to mellow out at the end after Lex came back to him, but he really could have eased Lex into his reasoning better instead of dropping it on his head and giving him an ultimatum.
Such is the drama.

This story just left the most pleasant and lingering feelings all over me. I really liked your approach to Lex finding out who Superman and Batman were, and how much he truly loved Clark, sans pedestals et. al.!

This was great, I loved Bruce being in it! I liked the character you gave Clark, he was a bit Kal-ish. Wonderful jon, loved the ending :)

That was beautiful. Really. Your characterization of Lex and Clark was done in a sych way that was incredibly more realistic than half of the Smallville/Superman fan fiction I've tried to get through. I like fluff, I do, but for serious fiction... Well, it's Superman and Lex Luthor - there's going to be trouble before there will be fluff (or Clark/Lex-Happytime as it were), and you nailed everything down perfectly. I absolutely adored your Bruce. He was a quiet presence with an air of importance, all business and mystery with little tidbits of blunt wisdom and... Guh. He was perfect.

... I also may be a bit biased, because older!somewhat-bitter!Clark gives me the warm fuzzies. But lets pretend that I wrote something vaguely resembling a review instead. :D

A good story of adult romance. Clark's sense of humor was certainly entertaining. 'For all you know, he could have been sent to Earth to conquer it.' Thinking of his reaction when he felt he had been in the series, that teasing jibe marks his maturity even more than his sexual behavior or understanding of Lex.

Love it! Was fabulous and so different. But I can truly understand how Clark feels. He's just a man, a man who wants love for himself not for the icon.

Excellent work. I love your interpretation of Lex and how he sees Clark. A very interesting take on Clark as well, portraying him as a man first and a hero second. Often times in future stories it’s the other way around. Beautiful job.
