well as i stated before the relation between harry and this new guy could be time travel and the reason it looks as thou he only has a golden hand instead of a whole arm is he created an arm that looks human knowing that one day he would meet dumbledore and did not want dumbledore putting things together.

i know nothing about this other world your adding in but a nice side twist could always be that the guy training harry is really an older harry who was sent back in time. of course i have no clue if it is just the guys hand that is gold or that is all we can see and his whole arm is also gold.

Two reasons for them to dressed that way are a)Terry is a girl and is insecure about her figure(considering terry is Sytherin, I find this to be doubtful) or b)Terry is much the same situation that Harry/Azrael was with the Dursleys, a.k.a. having to wear hand-me-downs that are too big (also unlikely).
