It's been about two years since the last review on this story, but I figure everyone's happy to see someone read an older story of theirs.

Nevertheless, this is wonderful. I wish I had your writing style.

Anyway, onto more coherent matters of reviewing. I love the way you get into Fernald's character, and write so well from his perspective, I was thinking perhaps you were only so talented at this from Kit's POV, but apparently you can do it with everyone! Once again, I adore these smaller, behind-the-scenes of the books type fanfiction pieces, and I can completely imagine such a conversation between Fernald and Fiona. Excellent writing.

I loved how the ending was almost like Olaf's "What else can I do?" in TPP.

Wow. I can't believe I haven't seen this story before. Or read it. I remember looking at it, but never, ever bothering to click on it. Can you ever forgive me? This has to be the best Fernald story I've seen. I really like the setting-I love it when writers do the whole thought monologue thing while giving the characters something to do. And the card game was very appropriate. Extremely appropriate. I love all the different thoughts, and the references to the Snickets. That was powerfully done. And Fiona... Fiona was perfect. She seemed so scared and confused, but, you know, she had to to stay with her brother. Excellent work.

Wasn't sure I'd find any ASoUE fics without incest or pedophilia, but I'm glad I looked. This is wonderful. I love fics that focus on the characters in the background. I love the Hook-Handed Man's acknowledgement that he's on the wrong side. Great fic.

XD I can just totaly imagen them having that conversation! Hooky thinking those things and Fiona denying that Klaus is her boyfriend. I saw that your review place was getting cobwebs all over. Very good! Honestly!
