I love the way you showed Jazz's struggles as "the Only Normal Fenton" but also subtly slipped in some of her idiosyncrasies, like her habit of whining and telling on Danny. It makes her seem more human and very much in character. Loved this!

hi, when i first read this story, i was impressed by the way you wrote Jazz. I was glad when Jazz finally told the gang that she knew about Danny.
One question though, I thought Jazz was a Senior or a Junior at least? If so, if Paulina is also a Freshman, Jazz would out rank her by Jazz's higher grade. If Paulina is her equal, than Jazz could use that against her for picking on younger kids.

I just wanted to comment and say that I think you have a really good handle on Jazz's character, and I'm impressed by your story. It reminds me a little of The Great Gatsby or Wuthering Heights with the whole tell-the-story-from-the-perspective-of-a-sideline-character. Although Jazz has much more importance/influence than either of the characters referenced, especially in regards to your fic specifically seeing as the majority of it is about her and her growth anyways, but yeah. I think you get what I mean. Good job on the fic!

Alright, I know this is going to sound weird but I read this story back in 2005 and I was just beginning my 8th grade year. I am now graduating college and to my complete surprise I found your story again after remembering it while I was tutoring a friend and helping her write a paper on suicide. I just want you to know that your story really stood out to me out of all the Danny Phantom stories I have ever read. Thank you so much for writing such an amazing fanfic. Thank you so much for being a part of my childhood. Thank you so very much.

Honestly, this fanfic is one of the few fanfics I remember reading when I was 14. I remember it being one of my very favorites and I am just so happy to have found it again, a real coincidence!

Wow, I just finished the fic, and I must say that this is one of the most comprehensive portraits of the characters' "regular" lives. The story definitely reads smarter than your average action episode, and you made Jazz absolutely realistic. Thank you for writing something for those of us who are overachievers yet are surrounded by people whose strength we struggle to comprehend and from whom we draw inspiration.
