That was great. Amazing how she goes into to slaying business even when she doesnt have to. Lol. The ending was a bit sad to me...maybe if there was a small moment of cockiness that was all spike I guess id feel a bit better but it was still an amazing story

Such a great story! I loved Buffy's characterization throughout the whole story, especially when she and Spike were in his crypt and she was his "hostage". Spike himself toed the line perfectly between actually being an evil vampire and being a hopeless romantic in love with a human girl. His personality felt like it blended smoothly rather than being two entirely separate people. The ending, while tragic, felt right. In reality, their worlds don't mix. Buffy would always be in danger from vampires and Spike would always be hunted by Protectors.

Giles was wonderfully written! He was so cool! I feel like we would have seen him more like this in the show if Buffy hadn't been so strong. If Giles had been the front line of defense in Sunnydale, we would have gotten to see how awesome he actually is.

Such an unexpected ending to this captivating story. I was so sad when Angelus killed Buffy and Spike walked into the sunlight but was glad that they at least got to spend some time together in love. And Spike's memory of Buffy making him wait ten minutes to dry her hair before they went dancing was such a bittersweet scene. The twist at the end, though, and the final sentence, was a perfect way to end this unique and satisfying story.

Really enjoyed this chapter, especially the visual image of Buffy and Spike both dressed in black, the Vampire Lord (love that title) and the Protector in Training embarking on a forbidden but destined love. Wonderful story so far!

I just know from the start that it would end with Buffy or Spike dying. And then Buffy was dead and Spike was dust and cried like a little girl. I love happy endings so the last piece fixed my mood a little. But seriously I LOVED your story! You don't find stories with Vampire!Spike and nonSlayer!Buffy as great as yours. Thank you so much for sharing!

That was adorable! When I read your author's note on the top of the last chapter I was chanting in my head 'oh god please don't die. Please don't die'. And then they died and I cried! And then they cane back and I cried harder! Ah that was amazing. I could SEE Spike walking into the sun. Oh you're amazing.

Simply beautiful. You have managed to maintain Spike's "evilness" while skilfully developing the emotions he feels for Buffy - he remains a very realistic character. Well done.

I know you wrote this a really long time ago but I thought I would say that I enjoyed reading your story and thought that you did an excellent job. I love Buffy and Spike. And I can honestly say that I was completely sad when you killed Buffy and then Spike killed himself. I was overwhelmed... I couldn't believe it. But I was like no Nae keep reading it will get better. And you did so thanks. I like the idea that no matter when or where they are at some incarnation of Spike and Buffy will always be together.

Ooh! I love it when my favorite authors do other stuff that I love. Seeing as Spike and Buffy will always have a special place in my heart, I'm thrilled! Once agaaaain, excellent job. Totally adorable. And I'm really loving the music references in here. I always pegged Spike for a punk rocker (not unlike Sheena), and The Smiths is so him too. I looove the ending by the way. Happy/sad win! You rule, rant over.
