i think this is the second time i've read this, and i really hope you continue, because i'm a sucker for happy endings... and michael and giff deserve happy... so does shadowflame, but at least the chance to verbally smack dadero and gillan around some more would be nice. i mean, she's got to vent some of that pain/anger/depression, right?

so i really, really look forward to continuation, or a sequal... even if it's not actually in the cards, heh.

I read straight through this and I now have a mighty need! I like Michael. Poor guy. He suddenly got all his Gifts blown wide like what happened to Vanyel and he’s struggling to deal with them in a world where magic doesn’t exist. I wonder if the meds he’s taking is what’s blocking Giff’s connectionto him? I want Michael and Giff back together the way they belong.

I wouldn't mind a series of vignettes about say Michael's reaction to new things and others reactions to his world's stuff, maybe making a paper airplane when he tells someone about air travel, or cooks up some home recipes to share- ribs or salsa or sushi, burrito or tacos, pizza. Or maybe he remembers how gunpowder is made or somehow stuff he remembers /dreams is projected to others -just to blow their minds lol. Him singing songs he knows that intrigue and baffle the bards (might I suggest AC/DC's thunderstruck). Also if he figures out how to make ice cream like it used to be made with rock salt - praline pecan, chocolate, fruit in season. Just saying would be fun. It was always worth the frozen ass to get (kids sat on churner to weigh it down while adult turned the handle fyi. I realized that sentence sounded really strange) Maybe he learned to play the piano and regales them with chopsticks, christmas carols and beethovan's moonlight pathetique sonata. (Just dreaming here lol).

Oh my God you have a wicked and wonderful sense of humor. The part with Hirrn is absolutely wonderful. I enjoyed every single bit of it and I read it several times just to enjoy the writing and then I read it out loud because the words were so delicious. So I had to stop reading and leave a review because in my opinion you are just wonderful and I adore your strange strange strange sense of humor. I feel like I've found a kindred spirit.

This is a really interesting mix of action, horror, and humor. Michael being freaked out at being brought to another world filled with talking animals and confusing situations is perfectly normal but I feel really sorry for Giff having such a difficult Chosen and then losing him. I liked the characters (poor Datti) and I didn't see the twist with the evil sorceress at all. It took me a while to read through all the chapters but it was worth it. I hope Michael is reunited with Giff eventually.

I spent most of today reading your story & I think it is very good. I look forward to reading more.

Oh shit this updated. Ahhh, delicious angst in the true Heralds of Valdemar tradition. Yessss make them hurt more so the coming reunion will be all the sweeter.
