i usually don't go for incest but the summary got me curious. it was really tragic, i think, and quite sad. for the both of them. but still, it was really well written and i enjoyed reading it :3 i liked how you portrayed souta's character too and how u twisted that childish fantasy of his into something really... disturbing (o.0)

That was just... amazing. Oh my god, you've just done something to me that... I don't know what, but I think I might be shaking. I found myself hoping that they would just fling taboo to the wind and basically transform Souta into Inuyasha: v. 2.0 (or something). So, so disturbing and so, so good. Amazing.

I know you wrote this a while back but just to let you know i thought it was very original and loved this.

This is the most beautifully tragic, love oneshot that my eyes have ever laid on. I felt as though my heart was breaking but, at the same time I cried tears of joy. Inuyasha dieing was so sad, then Kagome having to be so ...broken like that killed me. I thought Souta having to portray the role of Kagome's dead lover and how she finally found peace made me cry tears of joy. Only because the girl found peace finally, even if it was only lie...

This story is sickeningly sweet. I was looking through your profile when i stumbled upon this. Seriously, i had no idea someone could write something so depressingly bittersweet. Reading your story was like... watching Titanic. You know Jack's gonna die, then you think 'but maybe... just maybe he'll live this time, ... he has to.' it just makes his death and the song at the end all the more tragicly beautiful. It's like, you knew it was gonna happen sooner or later, you just refused to believe because of hope. (I am so addicted to that movie) This story is like, my FAVORITE one-shot!

You're use of their emotions was portrayed so well, i cried.

“I need you as Souta, not as Inuyasha,” she said resolutely. She felt him shake his head against her cheek.

“But what about as both?” he said in a hopeful whisper. His hands fanned through her hair, and she felt ashamed again for secretly wanting this.

She embraced him in return, but that was all she tried to allow herself to give him.

However, he bent down and faced her, nose against nose and golden eyes piercing into hers searching for her one cloaked desire to reach out and believe.

She sickened herself trying not to believe.

“Souta, let go…” she weakly pleaded with a scratchy voice. “You need to …”

“…protect you,” he said before slamming his lips into hers, searching out acceptance like he did with his eyes. She screamed at the intrusion, and her mind reeled in turmoil over right and wrong. She wanted to see ‘him’ again, to look at him and know for sure that he wasn’t truly gone. She opened her eyes, and through a haze she was drowned in the blurred shadows of his proximity, only to see the shape of his bleached white hair entwined in her fingers.

And then she felt like she was snatched away, falling and floating through time and space just as she had done to meet Inuyasha through the well into the past. The muscles in her body became filled with a numbing liquid, ripping away her past, present and future. She yearned to have her feet touch the bottom - to become grounded so she could open her eyes to sunlight in a different time. But her falling was endless, and she reached out her hands to the sides to grip onto something, only to have them taken into someone else’s grasp. She opened her eyes slowly to see Inuyasha smiling at her and pulling her closer into his body. And as she fell into him, the resemblances to her brother had soon flickered away.

He was gone, but yet he was here, and she let herself feel resolve. She fell into his body, into his memory, into the knowledge of his existence, and then she finally felt salvation.

She felt salvation even though it was all a lie.

okay that was really really weird. i liked it but it was weird. at least this onewas actually normal. i didn't expect to find anything while i was playing around with parings especially not this one. i really liked it though

XD; Back in the day, when I was so n00b it hurt, I would have read this and squeed at how DESTINED Inu/Kag was; now, I don't.

Instead, I squee at the fact that you broke me with the these lines:

“…protect you,” he said before slamming his lips into hers, searching out acceptance like he did with his eyes. . .] - It was powerful and haunting and something that hurt because she still wants Inuyasha throughout it, so stuck in her grief and just so Kagome the whole while that these events ar churning before her.

Your Kagome was heartbreaking to read, a shell of what she was; I feel so guilty reading this, enjoying the turmoil and your dark, warped, EVIL, world you have created here and just fascinated completely by her, it's like watching a horrible tragedy and you can't help but sit there and watch how it turns out.

Gah, utter and complete gah.

The kiss; the fact that Souta is so fixed on the idea of being the reinacarnation of him and how Kagome just falls completely into this dellusion and - OH. MY. GOD.

["She felt salvation even though it was all a lie."] - The ending line was just poetic; I adore how this was written toward the line, it had this very poetic, near lyrical, flair to it and just hooked you completely and, yes, I gush over the last bits of this because you made me all "The End scenario"!happy and then you break me with the concept of Souta and Kagome. Kissing. Like, Taijiyacest was enough (because it was depressing and evil and, uh, alot of the times it was ALMOST canon), but now here's Higurashicest and my brain has died because you made it happen and . . .

I love this fic. I ADORE it.

Wow...that was wonderful. Seriously one of the best stories I have ever read...even though it was taboo. It was so sad that she believe it was Inuyasha in the end. It was really great.
