Awesome second part! I liked how they interacted in different settings: the ball, his room, the Houses of Healing. Her analysis of the kissing and his comment were great. They are so lucky it was Elfhelm who caught them both times. The common traits of the Dol Amroth family, which Eomer is seeing in them little by little and are driving him crazy were so funny.

Great Story.

Good point about the nobles of Gondor conveniently forgetting the rights of the Crown and appropriating those rights for themselves. Such political struggles were common in medieval Kingdoms and capable Kings coming to power in the wake of ineffectual ones frequently spent a great deal of time and effort trying to claw back the rights and assets which had once belonged to the Crown but which the previous ruler had frittered away or allowed to slip out of effective royal control.

Re: Byzantium as an inspiration for Gondor - we were in Greece this spring and the ruins of Mystras, a city built on a mountain, certainly felt like it was the inspiration for Minas Tirith! Monemvasia made me think of Belfalas, too.

Absolutely loved this and your previous Eomer and the Princess tale! Read most of this final chapter with a silly grin on my face. Great depiction of a very likeable Eomer.
