Holy fuck I'm NEW HERE and I'm IN LOVE I want to write my first fic but there's no way i or anyone can even come close to making an Odyssey like this!

I don't know why it bugs me so much, but if the tree is both sexes, that means it has perfect flowers, and is both male and female. So technically, the tree would be the oldest male relative, because the tree is both male and female. However, the tree is not both male and female genders. The tree is both sexes, but is neither gender because only humans can have a gender. So a tree can either be of the male, female, or both sexes, but can never have a gender.

This story is great and I love it! Just finished Inuyasha and was looking for something to fill the void so this was awesome

This story was very good with is one serious issue I have a problem with! Lord Sesshomaru should have forgone the Kiss mark to Rin. She already loved him. There was no need; esp. when you consider that the mark instills a false permanent adoration for other from the marked by some sort of magical imprint.

This is the third time I've read this incredible story! It is unbelievably written and so descriptive! I cry every time I have read it! You are an unbelievable writer! I know this was done over a decade ago, but if the desire ever hits you to write again, I know it will be another amazing story! Thank you so much for this beautiful story!

Is there a sequel to this bc that ending gives me shivers

I am... legitimately shocked that I have never reviewed this fic before. This was one of the first InuYasha fanfics I had ever read, and is one of my favorites. Even now, more than ten years later, it stands the test of time as a story of high caliber. The first time I read this, i was immediately smitten with the characterizations of Sesshoumaru and Rin, and was dully impressed with the original characters and situations you created to flesh out the tale of their romance. Kane, Kazuo, Mashiro, Kasumi and the others were all so well executed as three dimensional characters, its hard to believe that they didn't spring from the mind of Rumiko Takahashi herself.

I come back and re-read One Life every so often... sometimes months later, sometimes years, but I am always drawn deeply into the mythos you created for our dear Lord of the Western Lands, and the ward that he has so obviously grown to love. I know that this was originally written before both the ending of the manga and the sequel series The Final Act, so the supposition of what happened to Sesshoumaru's mother differs here than from canon, but that fact notwithstanding, you have crafted a sublime tale that works quite wonderfully as a follow up to the series. Thank you for sharing this masterful work with us readers. I am so glad to have read and loved this work, and look forward to coming back many more times to enjoy.

Hahahaha “impendent”! What. What? No dear child. The word you were looking for, good author, is “impotent”. While I find this typo/error extremely amusing, I promise I’m not trying to make fun of you or this story. If you make no other edits, fixing that one would be a wise choice as well as a quick and easy fix (it’s only one word).

Okay, I feel like this story definitely needs a disclaimer for a slightly altered timeline. Like...it’s so small but also so huge that in this version of events Sesshomaru’s Mom died (and died before his father, at that) rather than having lived and be the one to help Sesshomaru complete his Meido and revive Rin for the second and final time.

As I started your fic I didn't really noticed the title. And them I surprised myself singing "One love" from U2 all day long, and I realised when I resumed my reading that it was because of it. Even now that I'm finished I can't get rid of that song, damn!

So, I should admit that I have become quite the difficult kind when it comes to fanfiction, and most annoy me now. Usually I read the first chapter and 75% of the time stop here. But you did managed to grasp my attention, and even to make me finish it, congrats!
It has its flaws (just an advice: names and specific terms apart never use japanese words in a story written in english, it ruins the mood and gives a "childish" tone), but overall your story is very catching. Your characters have a very good evolution and the pace is slow enough to make us believe in what we're reading. Add some interesting ideas, a good plot that really motivate us to continue and you have a very enjoyable romance!
I'll go have a look on your other fics. Thanks again and keep up with the good work!
