I'm actually not a fan of songfics, and it would probably help if I knew the song (I might have heard it at some point, but the tune doesn't come to mind), but I really enjoyed it.

My favorite part was Hatori's feeling of wanting to chase after Kana in the distance, but restraining himself. Maybe because I know that feeling all too well. I can tell you enjoyed putting in the metaphors of winter and spring, and they work really well. I especialy like how winter couldn't go on to summer without spring.

Very nice. Hope your fanfiction career only gets better from here on out.
