MissVintageMovie chapter 1 . 3/4/2018 I know this has been over a decade since it was written but I wanna applaud you from the future here in 2018. Wow. This was compelling and crazy. I never thought of this before but I don’t think I can see the characters the same way again. |
HilaryDroxursox chapter 1 . 11/15/2011 I know it's been a while since this story ended, but i've still gotta give you kudos for it. This is the story I hate to love. :P You were right in your first AN: i thought thia would be sick and twisted and...gross. But it is truly FANTASTIC. Good job! I've read all of your LM fanfics and they're all great! I wish you had kept writing them... |
Freebird87 chapter 4 . 12/27/2010 Holy crap! Jo said "Cock"! |
Freebird87 chapter 3 . 12/27/2010 Poor Gordo. I always thought Parker was a cutie. |
mojoman3061 chapter 14 . 6/15/2010 Whoa. Somehow I never read this one before. I guess I've read your stories way out of order. Now I see the origin of the blue 'Stang! I am amazed at what you pulled off here! A relationship between Jo and Gordo that has them as more than a mother and a friend of her daughter's could have been written as tawdry and exploitative, which may just be a grown-up way of saying "gross." ("Gross" is stronger than "icky," isn't it?) Someone else said everyone was canon. I agree. I'm glad you got everyone's POV in, especially Sam's (I don't include Josh in everyone here). How's that lawn-gnome-painting of Sam's going, anyway? Is your Heather Lizzie's cousin? I think she was only mentioned in the first chapter. Thanks for writing so fondly about Gordo. |
Sam47 chapter 14 . 3/8/2010 Wow, i must say i was hoping they would get together, but what you wrote is so much better! You are a great writer, that was a beautiful and believable story. Nice work! |
crushaholic128 chapter 14 . 7/30/2009 Really enjoyed this story. Tastefully, poignantly, and realistically written. I loved the ending - I'm glad that Sam and Jo ended up working out, that Lizzie got a new boyfriend (lol) and that Lizzie and Gordo reconciled. Keep up the good work! |
Mistaken4 chapter 1 . 1/7/2008 I hadn't read any LM FF in a very long time and while browsing about I stumbled (boy, does my ankle hurt!) upon your writings. Great story and very original. Thanks for a fun two hours. |
hiddendreams and untoldsecrets chapter 14 . 12/9/2007 good story. i really liked it. once i started reading it i couldnt stop. i liked the ending too. very well-written. |
Amanda chapter 14 . 7/16/2006 Hey, I just finished this story, and I loved it. It was an interesting idea, but my favorite part was the end-because it gives hope that Lizzie and Gordo *will* someday get together again! Cause...come on, Lizzie and Gordo have(imagine this in italics?) to be together? Please? lol You're a great writer, I'm gonna go read your other stories. |
CreamSoda1382 chapter 14 . 5/19/2006 :') Brava! Beautiful! When I first saw that this would be a JG I was like, "Ew! That's sick! Gross! No way! Yuk!" but, it was very well done, and very believeable, and the way you described it, as Gordo reminding Jo of a younger Sam...brilliant. I still maintain my belief that Gordo is a total perv in this universe, but that's just one celibates opinion! ;) Anyway, I can't wait to read the next, so I hope you write it soon! MORE GORDO! :D Just so you know, I am a huge fan of the MG Ship, and I remember you saying at one point that you were "seriously considering having them end up together when all was said and done" (Overcome? AN? ::shrugs::). Well, two thumbs up on that idea! :) I just hope Gordo can get his libido under control! . ~Rice |
Whaza chapter 14 . 4/11/2006 I read all your other "Gordo" stories before I read this one and I have to admit, when I saw you were making a JG story I thought I would absolutely hate the finish to what had been a fantastic series. How wrong I was. Not only was this story as good as the other one's, you had me on the edge of my chair after every single chapter. The JG story was fantastic, but the ending was even better. I don't think you could have written a better ending to this. There is now no doubt, this is my favorite LM story. You kept EVERYONE in character and stayed true to yourself throughout the entire process. From the Gordo/Nicole storyline to the Gordo/Lizzie storyline to the Gordo/Miranda storyline you had me hooked on every single pairing and that is coming from a huge G/L fan. Hell, you're so good that I don' think I would even mind if you did a Gordo/Ethan, because you would make it work. Great job. PLEASE continue with the Gordo stories. We all want to see how your GordoWorld turns out. Thanks. |
Dirtmcgirt chapter 1 . 3/26/2006 This is the first fanfic I've read that was more than a few paragraphs and my I just say, wow. Great story, it didn't need to involve characters of a TV show to be good. It felt very "Monsters Ball" like in the sence that I wasn't getting a story but rather a glimse into someones life. And you did it all with out having to turn anyone into the "bad guy", it would of been so easy to Sam into an absolute jerk or Lizzie into an un-forgiving whore etc. but you did something most writers don't, you made everyone 3 diminsional. Awesome job. |
maxtreme225 chapter 14 . 2/2/2006 the part that made me laughed real hard was when Gordo took off his shirt in the car, you know, after he was splashed, as well as the ...events...that took place soon after. it was one of those things which kind of caught me in surprise and i just started laughing...and couldn't stop because the idea of those things happening was so strange(Gordo in your fic is my age) and so...(i'm beginning to laugh again)...twisted is the closest i can get to. and funny. to me. seriously. |
Dr. Strange chapter 14 . 12/29/2005 Kudos for touching on a far-out subject, yet still remaining true to the characters. So many of these types of stories would have taken the easy way out, by forcing Jo into Gordo's arms, due to Sam having an affair, or abusing her or the kids. But then, it wouldn't have been Sam. You told a complex story, without making anyone out to be the stereotypical villain, not even Josh. I was saddened to see that Miranda has drifted so far apart from both Gordo and Lizzie, but I realize that the story wasn't about her, so it may have been necessary, to some extent. On the other hand, I was encouraged to see a reconciliation between Lizzie and Gordo. I'm not one of those who insists that Gordo and Lizzie be joined at the hips, but emotionally, it upsets me to see Lizzie mad at Gordo, or consistently mistreating him. Having said that, will you be writing any stories where they *are* an item? And it was a nice touch to see Lizzie being the only one to catch on to the entire truth about what was going on around them, even though she misjudged Gordo's motives. But *that* is another story ; ) Well, in any case, you've got a fan. Keep writing. Don't let me catch up to you. |
