So here is the thing, I understand that you wrote this particular piece quite a while ago but I really had to send you this review. It is absolutely excellent in every sense of the word. I had someone recommend your stories and I was looking through the FFX Auron/Rikku archive and found this lovely jewel. I happen to be a fan of the...odd couple I guess. The ones you don't normally hear about. There is a small selection to choose from in this catagory and even fewer worth reading as sad as that is. But you on the other hand did an excellent job on the characterizations. It is beautiful and thoughtful work. Grade A. If I had this type of talent I'm sure my own writing would be much much better and I wouldn't agonize over it so. As it is I must say that I am very glad to have come upon this. Very glad indeed. So thank you for this lovely story.

Beatiful, all I can say is that this story was just beautiful. The writing was so poetic and so precise with the feelings and just the emotions of the characters, that I cried. I never cry when I read (I have maybe cried three times when reading in my life) but you could actually feel what Rikku was going through and how much Auron really loved her in the story.

I especially love the comparisons between Rikku and the different places of Spira. Not only was it devestatingly original, but just so beautiful to read. Also the part when Auron was thinking about when he was younger really hit me over the head. Most people like Aurikku because of the age and mentality difference. When you had Auron wonder about if he was younger it really threw me cause there really is no way of knowing. Even now I'm tossing ideas around in my head of what would have happened.

Aurikku is a very difficult match to get right, but I believe that this story is the basics of what the relationship is about. I think that anybody thinking about writing and Aurikku should read this story first for a deeper understanding of the relationship whether it be an event story or a deeper more anylitical type.

It was an uptmost privelige to read a story like this so thank you very much!

This made me obscenely happy...but also obscenely sad. Auron/Rikku has always been one of my favorite FFX pairings, even though I know, like all us shippers do, that it would never actually work between them. But it's nice to imagine.

You did a wonderful job writing this, and I, for one, would not have minded reading all the "She is..." parts where they were supposed to go. But mayhap that's just me.

Anyway, you really managed to capture what would happen if they ever did become a couple, Auron being what he is. It made me want to cry, except I can't do that. So, I'll just settle for being extraordinarily melancholy.

You still did a phenomenal job, and I consider myself priveleged to have read this.

that was beautiful. i'm a huge fan of imagery so i liked the outtakes in your second chapter too. it was sad, but sometimes thats better than giving something a fluffy ending. very nice.
