Reviews for The Misplaced Potter
tricorvus chapter 4 . 7/8
That's not so bad age difference. When Mother and Daddy adopted me (18 months & my brother almost 3) in 1966, they were almost 45 & 47. I was by hilarious coincidence, born 3 days after Daddy's 45th birthday. Our neighbors mistook us for his grandkids. Older parents smarter parents with great insight for history classes.
Great story, very realistic.
rock on
missgsmith51 chapter 19 . 3/4
McGonagall and Dumbledore? Hmmm, not sure how I feel about that pairing. I used to like it, until I stopped being a Dumbledore fan. Now I don't.

I'm sorry to nitpick, but you need to work on your use of the word THEN. You use it almost every time you should use THAN. They are not interchangeable. THEN is used in connection with time, sequence or order, or consequence.

THAN should be used to make a comparison.
Examples:
"... that kid is more THAN prepared to fight Voldemort "
"... blinder THAN Fudge"
"... less THAN you had hoped"
missgsmith51 chapter 5 . 3/4
"While at the Porters try to discover how much the parents have told Harry about who he is. If they have kept him ignorant about his origins and he has no idea who he is other than Henry Porter"

Since Dumbledore screwed up (thank God!) and put Harry with someone other than family, why on earth would he expect Harry to have a clue about who he is? Or does he know more about the people involved than we think? Given it's Dumbledore, one can never truly be sure exactly what he knows! At least your version didn't stick Sirius into Azkaban without a trial and throw away the key. Then again, if he had done as he ought to have done at first, Harry would have been with Sirius where he belonged.

I'm not sure if I like your Dumbo any better than the other ones. I'll have to wait and see.
Guest chapter 5 . 8/30/2019
Yeah, bullshit. I'm done with this story. Albus is a fucking bastard and Sirius has no fucking backbone.
Guest chapter 4 . 8/30/2019
I can't wait to hear Sirius' reasons/excuses for not raising Harry like he was supposed to have. I don't care what Albus' reasons/excuses are for getting in Sirius' way if that's what happened - there is absolutely no reason or excuse good enough for Sirius to not have raised his godson.
Guest chapter 1 . 8/30/2019
Yeah, about that "fame"... So, how DID the wizarding world come to believe that Harry, a 15-month-old toddler, killed Tom? Hmmm, ALBUS...how DID that bullshit come to be such common knowledge...?
crystalpotter-weasley chapter 6 . 6/24/2019
I am enjoying your story so far, but I find myself horribly angry at Sirius for not insisting on raising or visiting Harry in the first place.
mab70 chapter 21 . 6/22/2019
I really like Henry Porter, quiet horse-whisperer.
And his family!
deckman1234 chapter 21 . 5/14/2019
Very entertaining story. Abit O'Trouble Madison County, Alabama
Matt chapter 5 . 4/25/2019
What "three month old"? Harry was 15 months old when his parents were killed, not 3 months. Major screwup - or change to canon without any reason or note. And he would only have been "missing" for between 9 and 10 years.
Guest chapter 21 . 2/20/2019
I really liked reading this story, thank you so much for writing it!
stacygrrl2002 chapter 6 . 9/29/2018
No Harry! If you have to go to school, do it in the U.S. At least get a wand at home.
HeartsGlow chapter 19 . 2/19/2018
I goofed. Last chapter, I meant to say he was FIFTEEN months old. Don't know why I said eighteen.
DannyPhantomPhandom chapter 4 . 12/22/2017
Henry Porter?

Oh dear, oh very dear...
kurolothgarian chapter 1 . 10/30/2017
Dumbledore, unless he is completely crazy and empty-headed, cannot help but be portrayed as a Manipulative Old Bastard of a Boss (or, MOB Boss). It is an integral part of Dumbledore's personality.
