Fantastic story. Its nice to see a good Fox/Krystal fanfic that is both excellent and actually finished.

This review has been a long time coming; and to be honest, I should have written it a while ago. Anyhow, here goes.

This story was (for all intents and purposes) the first Star Fox fanfiction I ever read, back when I could still easily feel emotional for the characters. That was near the beginning of last year. To be honest, it feels like it's been five years since then.

This story and Reflections of the Future were the driving forces behind me even trying to write a story of my own. Both are great stories, although this one holds a special place in my heart, especially since I'm a sucker for Krystal-centric yarns. As of yet, I have not come across a better explanation for why Cerinia was destroyed than the reason you gave early on in this story. The plotline bridging Adventures and Assault filled in the gaps masterfully; and Krystal and Fox's blossoming feelings for each other tied it together even more effectively. Simply beautiful. Her memory of the Oracle's prophecy only made the ending even more spellbinding. When it's all said and done, this feels more like a part of the actual series than a fanfic.

The main reason that I'm writing this years after you've been done with the story is because in a way, this story changed my life. I'm sure it sounds corny and cliché, but this and RotF inspired me to start writing, and in turn, to discover a passion that I never would have given any thought to before, in addition to helping me break out of my reclusive nature in order to take part in a community such as FF dot net.

I'll probably end up reading this one again at some point in the future, passive tense and all. I know it doesn't reflect your current level of writing, but for what it's worth, it's an excellent story that completely deserves the accolades that brought me to it in the first place.

Once again, it's a great flashback to Adventures as well as a prequel to what happened before Krystal landed on Adventures...though her eyes, it has always been a good start to this series :3

First, you had me laughing at Wolf's pretty spot on description of humans. Made for a pretty good 'Don't remind me' moment.

love the story so far. i know you think its old but to me its a welcome change from some of the other junk i have seen. ill be sure read your sequels after i finish this one. btw, love how you used peppers love for lolipops from back in the np comic!

I am going to write a full review after I have read all of it, but I gotta tell you know that I this. Cerinia chronicles and Reflections of Krystal are now my favorites. Thank you very much for writing this awesomeness!

Hey everyone. I know this story is mega old... but in consideration that I started on it August 8th of 2005 and finished it October 19th of 2005, I know a lot of the mistakes are, shall we say, IN THE PAST. I'm using comas less frequently now. I'm spelling things wrong less frequently now, heh. I'm wording things in passive tense less often, now. But this story really shows where I've come from when you compare it to, say, Chapter 16 of Reflections of Marcus McCloud.

On that note, I've started re-reading through this short story. It is pretty short compared to New Generation and such...

Some of the mistakes REALLY bother me, though. Some of the loopholes bother me more. I've decided to touch up the story one chapter at a time. I'm not doing a full re-write but I AM going to start a light restoration effort. I've chosen this story because it's the first Reflections story that I wrote. I wanted to help it connect to the other stories in this series. They connect to THIS story but this story does not connect to THEM, you know what I mean?

I take parts from this story and place them in the future stories. The Dahn Daju from chapter 4, for example, appears in Reflections of a New Generation, Marcus McCloud and so forth. The thing is, I want this story to connect to those stories better.

There are things I really liked when re-reading through this. I liked how Pigma was already programmed by the Aparoids prior to their invasion. I thought that was pretty cool. They tell him to build a base and he does... you fight him in SF: Assault.

Are there things I'd change? Of course. There's plenty I'd change about this story but I can't change everything because a handful of people actually liked it. People still re-read through it fairly often. It has over twenty-five thousand views... and that's not counting the ones that were lost in the enormous counter reset of November 2005. It should be closer to 27-28 thousand views.

So there it is... I'm going to start updating chapters. When the story is COMPLETELY finished (No, I'm not re-wording entire sections because that would be very time consuming. I'm just doing re-writes in a few places and some LIGHT editorial work), I'll post a new chapter to this story with an Author's Note, so for those of you who have this story (or ME) fav'ed, or set to alert status... well, you'll know. The rest of you will find out when it shows up on the newly updated story list.

Does this mean the story will be slightly longer in some places? Actually, yes. I may write in more things and have a few things happen that weren't in the original. Think of it as... uh... the "director's cut" version, lol.
