Very much enjoyed the story! Finding this site and stories about my favorite shows of the past is great. I haven't seen "Combat" in ages and wish it would return. Watched it every week as a child in the 60's. Your story is well written and dramatically compelling. Good premise told in a spare, evocative way. Is it to be continued? Is Saunders still in danger?

Ash, just wanted to let you know that I really liked the premise of this story. I love Saunders and I especially *love* a Saunders in jeopardy!:) Take care of the Sarge and make sure that he doesn't allow his men to bunch up!
