Well, that doesn't make any sense.

The Seal is connected to Hellmouth and draws power from it to get some shields going. That means if you shut down the Seal, there'll be no energy drawn from the Hellmouth. That doesn't mean it shuts down the Hellmouth, that means the Hellmouth has even MORE energy to spare; and be able to create even bigger, nastier, messing effects on the world.

Further, the Hellmouth isn't a battery; it's the thing that runs ON the battery. The battery is a dimensional matrix within the space-time continuum making up a dimensional gateway/wormhole; and seeing as there is an unlimited amount of energy inside every single insignificantly small section of space-time, it'll NEVER run out. The only way to shutdown the Hellmouth is to sever the connection to the dimensional energy influx: or collapse the dimensional gateway/wormhole, implode it in on itself aka outright destroying the hole thing, and sending in a rocket isn't going to do that..
