| Tally chapter 1 . 11/9/2008 I was wondering why there weren't any Alex Rider parodies! I love the books, but they still make me cringe... Alex is the Gary-Stuiest character I've ever read about! He knows everything, has everything, can do everything, but he still angsts about it! He went on two surfing trips and can suddenly ride this Cribber thing? I've been surfing years and I'm still mastering turning across the wave! Horowitz just can't think of ways out of situations without making Alex behave unrealistically. And really, who actually drinks that much coke? |

| made.unmade chapter 1 . 10/26/2006 Hahaha- loved it! I can't believe it, but you touched on almost every single thing that irks me about this series! I must confess though, while I find the plots disjointed and weak, the villians' plans cliched, Alex disturbingly perfect, and the continuous "I don't want to be a spy"/"Give me a mission, any mission" thing frustrating at times, I do admit that I'm addicted to the series. It's crazy, but I am. However, you made me feel free to laugh at the whole thing. Thanks! |
