Oh, wow, I adored this story! It was amazing - you got Leon's character *perfect*, I was blown away. Got some laughs from me. It really reminds me of the way the manga was written. ;) Great job, I loved this!

Oh wow, I loved this! Just loved it. God...Leon's voice was just so real and he broke my goddamn heart. His confusion about what he was feeling, his realization about why it hurt and WHAT hurt and why he could never go back was just...sharply painful and so well done. God, I have so totally felt like that before, and that's exactly what it was like. :-) Leon's feelings were so painfully real that I was grateful for the little note of hope at the end - I grasped onto it like a drowning woman! Another thing I liked about this story was that it was actually LEON who was running away from D, not the other way around - which is how folks usually handle the end of the series. That he was actively trying to forget D instead of searching for him - well, that makes a lot of sense. Anyway, thanks for a great story.

OH so god!

I just finished the manga and I was very unsatisfied with the ending so I turned to fanfiction-that place where we put all of those endings after the ends that we wouldnt actually want to see in print but love to read anyway...and how awful to find nothing but s-h-i-t in this fandom! Except for this, so far! So, though you have, :sob: denied me closure and yaoi declarations of love and such, I must thank you. Je t'aime!

I really liked the open-ended nature of this fic. Would most definitely celebrate if you decided to continue, but it reads well as a stand alone fic. Brilliant work!

Kind of sad

My goodness, that was one of the most subtle pieces of fanfiction that I've read. An excellent balance of detail and dialogue and action and inner thoughts. Please continue! :) I'm quite impressed. Most fanfic have detail/description and dialogue that hits the reader over the head and spells things out for them. Not the case with your stuff. :)

I keep thinking there should be a second chapter (or third, or fourth) everytime I read this.

... Oh my god... that definatly formed a knot in my throat. Ah Leon, Leon, Leon... you're a hopeless fool. He doesn't even realize what the whole thing was about... T.T That was heart wrenching! Oh my god I LOVE YOU! Poor Count... he's didn't make what he needed quite clear the the detective whom is totally oblivious to what it is he really was feeling. But it is so like both of them, skirting around the dangerous topics in which they wish not to discuss.. Keep up the fabulous work!
