Well, this is going on my favorites. It's amazing how much you can say by saying so little.

I disagree with your author's note, though. I don't think Itachi is a cold-blooded murderer. He's a murderer, certainly, but not cold-blooded. I think a lot of people forget that Itachi is essentially a peace-loving character, who DOESN'T kill whenever he can. (There are many examples of lives he spared- Kakashi, Kurenai, Naruto, etc.) I think it tears his soul apart every time he has to kill someone, but now that he's started down that path he can't go back. I think Itachi is a very sympathetic character. You find out his life was so unbearable that you're glad when he's dead, because at least someone finally put him out of his misery. That's how I interpret Itachi, and it comes through in the story I'm writing.

That's one of the things I love about fanfiction though. It's fascinating to see all the different ways people interpret a character, while still having him essentially act "in character."

It's very...succinct. Perfectly in character, and nicely and fittingly creepy for the pairing. Plus, way too short. Arg.

Second best of their fics I've other he killed her on sight but this is good and creepy!

I agree entirely, fanfiction is just that. Fan! Sakura looks good with anyone is the series me thinks, or most of them at least. ItaSaku wouldn't have a happy ending at all in the naruto universe, hell, they probably wouldn't even fall in love, but we can read about it anyway.!

Whoa, I had to think about the last four out of six lines of a story! I can't help but think of how awesome this is simply because I had to think so much about it! Hahaha. Can I seriously say how good it is? This has got to be one of the best *short* stories I have ever read. Whoa, it's sad, and it's- sad. But it's good!

very interesting. you should definitely write the begining to this epilogue. It could turn out very fascinating. I so agree with you. I love alternate pairings. I just don't like sakura with the typical naruto or sasuke. itachi is just so intriguing.
