This is intriguing. Could use some better indication of when Sahjahn is talking, but overall, fascinating. Is there more to be found somewhere else?

Still love the pizzazz of the narrator voice; the laid back attitude. That crapping magic part was funny cause that's exactly what Cyvus Vail said: "...I crap better magic...".

The relationship contrast between Angel with Faith and Wesley was nicely written. Such a complicated thing. That was a great chapter.

You do a really convincing voice for Sahjahn (sp?).

I hated how they ruined Cordelia's character in late season three and all through season four. The Cordy/Connor thing was just sick. I know the actress was pregnant at the time, but it seems they could have just said Groo was the father. I don't like Groo much, but it would have made more sence.

Angel was very much in character in this chapter. The only issue from priviously was that I think he overreacted about "the father will kill the son" issue with Wesley. Angel is all about self sacrifice especially when it concerns those he cares about. So if Wesley had a concern about a prophecy involving Conner, Angel would have listened and rationally weighed the evidence. This was why he was so upset that Wesley hadn't come to him with the information in season three. Insted Wes chose to kiddnapp Conner in order to protect him, and we all know what that led to. Wesley was human and made a mistake and learned from it. Personally, I think this made him a far more interesting character.

As for the relationship between Angel and Faith, you are right on track. Angel has always had a big brother, mentor, vibe going on with Faith.

As for a Wes/Faith ship, I could easily see it happening as long as it didn't get sappy. Those two play well off each other. Although I couldn't see it with pre season three Wesley.

OMG, this is one of the best fics I've read in forever. Your characterization is dead on, your plot compelling and the feeling of dread is like a living thing coming off the screen.

Really like this chapter. Faith finally convincing Wes to go back to the hotel. Really good portrayal of Wes' angst/guilt/ect. Looking forward to the gang's response to events.

“I’m more concerned about the potential damage to my windscreen if you decided to fly headfirst through it. I’m sure you would be just fine.” I loved that statement! Very Wesley like. And Faith's persistance in trying to get a reaction from Wesley was right on the mark. I could easily immagine it.

For the first part: very beautiful imagery and portrayal of Wesley's inner vulnerability. It's nice how you incorporated Lilah into that bit. He was... in a place, and she was the one who understood.

Just love the Faith Wes interaction. They're so much alike. I love the way that they subtley depend on each other, even if Wes doesn't know it yet.
