Wow, powerful oneshot here. Great character introspection, though. And many interesting points. Like belief-driven reality and the hero in heroin and all sorts of things.

This oneshot gave me the chills, knowing about the whole Virgin Mary fiasco in Season 2. About how Charlie couldn't stand it if Claire drove him out... gah!

Anyways. Very well-written. You are an amazing writer. You can write humor and angst and romance, and all really well. That takes skill. ;)

Not with the typical battle of the drugs, but with everything AND the drugs. His struggle with the "hero" bit and his thoughts of drugs as his battle armor... it's all woven together wonderfully. You have woven an amazing story. I often wonder when such detail like you have concerning the tarot cards if the writer has personal knowledge or did research. Either way it's so right for Claire to be thinking that way. I was also very impressed with Charlie's voice. I never much considered him a particularly deep character but you've just given him a depth that will stick with me. Thank you so much for sharing.
