cerzee chapter 22 . 1/19/2006 What a way to end it! As I'e mentioned before both in reviews for EL and POTD, I hate the endings. I always feel like being in a funeral. But as I saw them all once again happy, arguing, spatula-of-deathing (or at least mentioning it, running around (goes for the kids) and exchanging piles of gifts I felt glad that their ordeals have finally ended. I would've liked to see Sirius as Santa this one last time but at least all the women had a somewhat peaceful Christmas. :) I'd like to thank you for one of the best stories around here. You've built a whole world based on JK's world and I like authors who can think of something new despite using another writer's characters. Good luck with the Samantha story. I'm already looking forward to it! *Hugs* Cerzee |
SarahtheBardess chapter 22 . 1/18/2006 This really is a long chapter. And this is an overdue review... sorry! Madison Snape Death Hug. Yeah, that's kind of going to be confusing for her. Poor kid. Well, that's one way to be sure she doesn't miss her other parents. Are those memories ever going to come back? Or will that just make trouble? Do they have Kodak in the UK? Oh, Severus just called Kiki "woman". This should be good. Smooches! Smooches! What would the "old" Severus have thought to hear his children call Sirius Black "Uncle Sirius", I wonder? Love the outfit descriptions. Aww, happy Alida. “But I believe you agreed to marry me—worry, fur and all—and I agreed to marry you—messiness, obsessiveness and all.” Nice. That's true, you do agree to marry a person, faults and all. “We Need a Little Christmas” - isn't that from Mame? Yay, Arden's right! Happy kids everywhere! Presents with feet. Neville! Oh, of course Sirius loses the "true meaning of Christmas" argument when it's HIS presents that are missing! It's the Longbottoms! Woot! No. No. "Let them be surprised" is never good. Can I say "Aww" enough times? I don't think I can! There are just too many cute kids running around here! Hermione scolding Ron. Now the holiday is really complete. The Spatula of Death is illegal? Oh, just in the US. Good. Her back is killing her? Oh, that's right, she surprised Ron. And he fainted. :-D Yes, I was a little surprised to hear about Dumbledore and McGonagall myself. But it works, I suppose. I like Tonks' hair. Green streak! SAM! Ahh, the reunions. So wonderful. Yes, Severus, please be nice to Neville, just this once... I see the Greasy Bat is not totally gone. Oh, come on, Severus, get her drunk! That would be fun! I'm with Santa. The Snapes in bed is not something I want to imagine. Hmm, Santa with green eyes... :-) What a way to shut kids up - stick candy in their mouths! Nice speech by Dumbledore. I love how you lay out people's plans - it might not be considered important by some people, but it's nice to hear about it! Yay snuggles, and happy Christmases... Think you may need to rework this sentence. "She smiled back and was about to extinguish the candles when his wife placed her hand on his chest." Oh, that's easy. He picked Sam because she is beautiful and charismatic and wasn't afraid of him. Aww. Poor Lily. Here's hoping nothing like that happens to her. I think he picked a girl because he messed up pretty big with his boy... Massage... ahh... Not only is he not as clever as you, Sirius, but he doesn't have your special skills. Congratulations, you've done what no other author has ever done. You've made me feel sympathy for Lucius Malfoy. Normally, I hate his guts, and feel that anything that happens to him is fine. But now I almost want him to have his little girl back... except that would deprive Severus and Kiki... Argh! Oh well. Sniffle. It's over. But thanks for writing it. And will Lucius be back in your Sam story? Is that what that bit at the end is about? Or is that just Lucius bluffing it out and trying to cheer himself up? Guess I'll find out... see you then! StB |
cerzee chapter 21 . 12/25/2005 *sigs* It seems that everything's going to be well after all. Sam is smarter than any other kid at the age of six. I am anxious to see what happens when she's older. but I'm still sad about the end of EL. It's ashame that ELI has so few rewiews. Where have all the fans gone? Well, let's hope that it'll get some more once it's finished. Merry Christmas! Cerzee |
SarahtheBardess chapter 21 . 12/14/2005 :happy dance: Good disguise for the ABM. There's enough old theatres in NYC... The New York Magical Stock Exchange! Of course, there would be one, wouldn't there? Yep, I thought Kiki would be losing it right about now. Aww, poor girl. Poor girls. Poor everybody - this is one heck of a mess. Great, now they've got a smart six-year-old to deal with. Hey! Doesn't Tonks think Severus and Kiki taught Sam to be polite? Oh, dear, no, she wouldn't like being talked about at all. I love that she can spell! "Serena realized she clearly was the only sane person currently in the room." LOL. So she remembered a place where Severus' leg doesn't work so well and kicked him there, huh? She could have learned that from either father, really... how best to incapacitate an enemy... Aw! Draco found her and is going to talk to her! Sweet. Serena feels bad for the Snapes. Is she going to feel bad enough to believe the truth, then? "I'm afraid your daddy is really my daddy." There's something rather amusing about that sentence. So Serena's convinced... Or not. I love Draco being outsmarted by his godfather's six-year-old! Somehow I don't think Severus will let Sam have Britney Spears. Smart girl. Maybe a little too smart. But the truth shall prevail. Aww. Way too cute. I'm not supposed to be feeling bad for Lucius! You're bad and mean to make me feel like this! What, you hadn't tortured Severus enough? You have to have the paternity spell knock him over? You know, I kind of think Lucius and Narcissa might just have turned over a new leaf. Maybe if they got away, there wouldn't be a big fuss... Aww. I was hoping there'd be something where Sam recognized her daddy. But I guess if the counter-charm worked, then she will when she wakes up. Sigh. Almost done. I will be sad not to read your fun work anymore... Till next time, StB |
cerzee chapter 20 . 12/8/2005 Oh dear. That's what I was afraid of. I don't think that the Aurors had been thinking the Plan B out. It was a disaster! Poor little Sam, they'll have a hard time explaining it to her from now on. Sirius is the perviest Santa ever! The women were right to prefer Harry. Though the risk of getting Spatula-of-Death-ed would've sorted Sirius out all right. Only two more chapters to go? I guess that's the end of EL. *a sad sigh* But I'm keen on reading the story about Samantha as well. Good luck with the finals! Cerzee |
SarahtheBardess chapter 20 . 12/7/2005 This may be a short review, I'm not feeling well at all, but I had to drop you a line... I know all about children swarming the person who brings the goodies. Happens every day at my house. Aww. What a sweet explanation of why Daddy's going to dress as Santa Claus! Go on, Molly, pull your grand-godfather's hair! It's good for him! Sirius did WHAT? No wonder they don't want him to be Santa any more! Not when they have to worry about the girls sitting on his lap! Ooh, fight fight fight! Christmas Eve eve? Is that the night before Christmas Eve, or the evening of Christmas Eve? Good point about Serena. Doesn't she deserve a chance? Even if she was, pretty much, created by Lucius and Narcissa, doesn't she deserve to be happy? Oh my gosh. Lucius is actually redeeming himself? *looks out the window* Is the sky falling yet? Hey, wait a minute. Leo. Isn't that Sam's lion? So she hasn't forgotten everything... :-D Is it significant that they saw a rat in the alley, or no? *snickers* I, too, have always wanted to tell someone they're surrounded... well, not really, but it would be kind of fun. Well, you have to admit Lucius has guts, trying to bluff it out like that. Um, yeah, I kind of agree with Addie. Plan B isn't that great. But I also agree with Kingsley - if they're going to get that little girl back to her parents, Plan B is all they have... Of course, the question strikes - who are her parents now? Can't even comment on the next few sections. Too poignant. Too painful. Too... sniff... So why will the scene where "Serena" meets Kiki and Severus be chaotic? Because she doesn't know them, or because she does? Well, this turned out to be a long review after all. So, until next time... StB |
cerzee chapter 19 . 12/1/2005 You know, every chapter you write is even more bittersweet than the last one. I'd like the story continue on forever and ever, because the best part of reading fanfiction is waiting for the next chapter and seeing the story develop into whole new way. And your trilogy is the best example (I think I've said it before) and now, as the end seems to be near, it feels like a little world is going to end as well. Am I the only one here with such a livid imagination? Anyway, I'm happy for them, though Sam's fear of losing her 'parents' worries me a bit. Or a lot, actually. Hope that everyone will be all right soon, after the caos you said there will be. December is the crazyest month of the year, so I know what you're going through right now. I've set my eyes on the holidays and that's the only thing to help me through this hell. Only a few weeks to go so I hope it won't drain you too much. *hugs* Cerzee |
SarahtheBardess chapter 19 . 11/30/2005 Somehow I didn't think you were setting this chapter in the capital of Sweden... ::growls at Malfoys:: It is so pitiful to watch Kiki thinking about her daughter this way. OK, that's a funny image. Hermione's head and Ron's head in the same fireplace. I wonder if they kiss before they come back to America? Wow, Kiki is some relaxed about this. I thought she'd be all "Go find my little girl!" Is it just that she's had some time to realize that Sam's not coming home right away? So cute. Lily comes to look at Severus, and is all little-girl, and then goes and gets her daddy to help! Aw! Yay for dragging! Harmony and Bianca drag Kiki away, and Remus drags Severus out of the library... dragging is fun! Can we drag Sam away from the Malfoys? Oh, but that wouldn't be fun... because that would involve a sad or angry little girl... ::pouts:: Well, at least Sam's not actually suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. She was Obliviated, or whatever you're using, into this. You know, I don't want to know how the kitchen had *that* either. That's an interesting concept. My friend came up with something like that, only her charm messed up the memories and made them hard to understand, so you had to assume that you'd always been the way you were. The caster could also set conditions on you, like making you think your name was something else, so it's pretty similar, actually... How will they re-record her memories? Use their own as templates? Ooh, Kingsley staking out an apartment with a female colleague... hmm... I like the "dear" and "sweetheart" comments. Ooh, Sam's got instincts! Wait a minute. Are Kingsley and Addie disguised? I would assume so, because otherwise Lucius is going to recognize them, isn't he? Well, another chapter. :-D Thank you! And now on to this new story of yours... I like the American Girl books, and Felicity was always one of my favorites. StB |
cerzee chapter 18 . 11/17/2005 *puppy eyes* I'm sorry I didn't review. I won't bother you with the explanation why, but I got interrupted. Anyway, I feel for Sam. She'll be so confused when she finds out about her real parents. Wich is about to happen quite soon, as it seems. God bless Kiki's inner eye and little Susan Potter. Though if I were kiki, I would've told about my dream right away. If there's a slightest chance that it might be a vision, it's worth to try. I thought that the fact that Serena didn't tell the whole truth was curious, too. It definitely seemed like old Sam kicking in. Something came to my mind when reading the scene where Lucius allowed Sam to their bed. I think that Sam would want them to be around her even if she finds out that they have lied to her. But then again, it might be too much for her. I'm keen on reading the end as there are so many options for it. Stories in wich you can foresee the ending are boring. |
SarahtheBardess chapter 18 . 11/16/2005 Well, I'm only super when the moment is right. Which isn't often. Yes, Harry asleep on his desk and drooling would be awfully cute and giggleworthy. Tonks' comeback is awesome! Please tell me "bed" was the beginning of the word "bedroom". Wish I could tell them not to worry too much about her... that she's really all right, even if she is kind of Obliviated... grr, bad Malfoys. I assume the "memorable" dreams are the Phantom of the Dungeons story? Aww, Severus and Kiki dancing! I enjoy the fact that Severus panicks when Kiki says it's something she should have told him a long time ago. Does he think she's pregnant again or something like that? Oh, perfect. They find Sam because Ron messed up directions! And it's little Susan who recognizes her! And, of course, Hermione who puts the pieces together. And Ron who figures out that they can't investigate themselves. Way to get them all in! ::giggles:: "Oh yes, I kiss you like that every time I talk to my brothers." And "Spatula of Death" becomes a verb! Love the little thought process on how the Greasy Bat of the Dungeons became their friend... So, Lucius, what are you going to do? Keep trying to live your lie, or give the child back to her family? And is it just that Serena/Sam doesn't want to worry her parents, or does some part of her recognize Susan? Oh, well, if she doesn't remember anything. You do realize you're tearing me apart with this. I want both families to be happy! But they can't, because Sam belongs with her real parents, and Lucius and Narcissa are kidnappers! Avenue Q? Isn't that "Sesame Street for adults", with all the weird songs? Thanks for the new chapter. It came at a good time. StB |
SarahtheBardess chapter 17 . 11/12/2005 Sorry about the wait. Le brain, she is not working so good. Ahh, the twins. How we love them. Do they get pointers from Gred and Forge by any chance? Or is this just normal twin behavior? Aww. Yes, I too hope I'm as lucky as Professor Anderson... Oh, how wonderfully IC for Ron! Even grown-up (ha), married Ron doesn't quite lose his past! And Hermione SO should have done it! Hex them all to next month! I'll help you, girl! Oh! What a perfect revenge! Ha-HA! Take that, Ron Weasley! Your virility strikes back! And soon, you will no longer be able to sleep at night! I hope it's twins! Yay for Bianca smacking Sirius with a snowball! “POWDER DONUT TREATMENT!” Love it. The cute scenes are so incredibly cute... but yes, it's missing something without Sam. Poor girl. What's she going to do? With memories of two happy families? This has the potential to be really bad... have I said that before? I love the Kiki/McGonagall conversation at cross purposes. That happens to me a lot. OK, I did NOT need to know that about Severus and Kiki. Definite TMI situation there. Well, finally, Kiki remembers that dream! Yes, the "Malon" family is adorable. But there's always the problem that the little girl really isn't theirs... and yet I don't want to see them unhappy... maybe will Narcissa get pregnant before Hermione and Ron (or whoever) find Sam? And is that picture going to be important somehow? My Bardess-sense is tingling... Hope to see a new chappie soon, but take your time. Make it good. I love your work! TTYL! StB |
cerzee chapter 16 . 11/3/2005 I think that the spatula of death might be the most terrifying thing these poor men have seen in their life, including the battles agais death eaters. A determined woman can be a lot worse than a masked dark wizard. At least we know that Kiki, Harmony and Bianca won't use it too harshly, as they wouldn't want to lose the sexiest men ever. The guys are probably scarred for a lifetime nevertheless. I might actually feel sorry for them if the spatula wasn't your best joke.:D Makes me laugh every time. Anyways. Now it's certain that Malfoys are completely insane. I wouldn't expect *this* even from a former Death Eater. Torture, humiliation, killing, yes, but not stealing away a persons past, making them live in an illusion. That's messing with the free will, for Merlin's sake. It's something you'd think cowards like Wormtail would do. I loved the way you described NY waiting for Christmas. I instantly started missing it. Christmas, I mean. I'm slightly jealous of you. New York city must be the coolest place on Earth, specially on Christmas time. I have never seen the Big Apple with my own eye, but I intend to, someday. |
Magnificent the Destroyer Lord chapter 16 . 11/2/2005 Yeah, I got it; thanks for the email! Thanks for clearing up the "Rumors" thing. No, there isn't a play of that, at least not as far as I know - only been there one year (*grimaces* on leave of absence till fall next year). So, did Malfoy obliveate (spelled right?) Snape's kid? That's low, even for the slimeball. Please keep updating - I can't wait to find out how Snape and Kiki are going to kick Malfoy's butt for this! *lol* M*T*D*L* |
SarahtheBardess chapter 16 . 11/2/2005 Oh, man, the evil greasy bat of the dungeons is back! That sucks for the students! Lucius Malfoy, you're a jerk! Minerva, Kiki, that's not nice, teasing a guy whose daughter is still missing. Will they ever find her? They'd better! Come on, Kiki, remember that dream and figure it out! Aww, snuggles. Spanish Inquisition! Did anyone expect it? YAY! SPATULA OF DEATH! Harmony, most people get confused when you start a conversation in the middle. Ooh, if Lucius had taken one of the Lupins' kids, there would have been an angry wolf after him... bad. Very bad. Yes, that sounds like Sirius. Uncouth, yet cute. Cool! Smack the Daily Prophet! It's nothing but a government organ anyway. ::stomps on newspaper:: Sirius was incoherent in his sleep? How could you tell the difference between that and when he was awake, then? Hmm, do I see some initial games here? L.M., N.M., and an S there? Een-teresting... So why can't she see the tops? She's still too little? Where does "Serena" think they used to live? And how exactly did they do this to her? Memory charms, or what? Snicker. Maybe it's terrible of them to have taken Sam, but she seems to be humanizing them. Oh no... will she want to go home? Is there going to be one of these nasty things where the child doesn't know where she belongs? It wouldn't last, eh? Am I terrible for being glad? Because they do seem happy, but they're only happy because Severus and Kiki are sad... Ahh, you're the author. I'll let you sort it out. I think Draco would get a kick out of watching his parents be parental, though. If he wasn't wildly jealous instead. Shrug. Thanks for update - I hope for another when you can! StB |
blindbella chapter 15 . 10/27/2005 i love the story and i think you seserve so much more reviews then you're getting! please keep going |
