Though I don't often gravitate to Double D-centred stories, I have to say this is probably one of my favourite EEnE stories out there. Double D is just written so well you could almost kid yourself into thinking he wrote it. You get so much of his character down perfectly as well as adding you own little twists to it. I also like that his sort-of friendship with Kevin is moving along at a realistic pace, considering the antagonism Kevin shows the Eds and that he's a proud individual, as well as Double D's loyalty to his friends. It's an interesting conflict as well as showing some insight into Kevin not always present in both the show and fanfiction - I like that he's got his own unconventional brand of snarky intelligence.

Also I like that you've added a little insight into Eddy and his own psyche, too many fics are very quick to demonise Eddy (which I admit is sometimes easy to do, given his temperament) but I feel like he's a misunderstood person and it's nice to see a story that portrays Double D being understanding of it without making him a complete pushover. (I mean, he IS a bit of a pushover but he does demonstrate several times in the show that he has his limits.) I also like you didn't write off Eddy's parents as one-dimensional jerks - maybe a bit authoritarian but still decent parents overall. I don't know if you have any plans to continue this story, but I think everyone would be pleasantly surprised if you did.

For one, it's awfully scary how you have managed to capture my personality in Edd's. Second of all, I think this story is marvellous and am particularly saddened to see that the last update was quite some years ago. But I do want to sincerely compliment your writing style. This fic is incredibly amazing. I love you're view into each of the characters lifes, they are very realistic and believable. I really hope you update one day it would brighten my day :)

i like the idea of edd and kevin becoming good friends. kevin is in a way teaching ed to grow a back bone and just be cool around others while edd is teaching kevin to be polite yet understanding of others. i want to see how there friendship grows. :)

So, this is the first time I have ever written a review for any story and I really don't know where to start. First off, I'd like to say that this is absolutely brilliant. The characterizations are perfect and are so far the best I've seen. I also like how well you put this in Double D's perspective. The words just flow together so smoothly, it's as if Double D himself was typing this. I've noticed that you haven't updated in a few years and this review might be totally pointless but this story deserves it. I really hope you find the inspiration to continue this; in the meantime I'll be patiently waiting until you do. Keep up the good work. :)
