i agree with you! especialy after seing episode 3 i could see how tragic Anakins story really was. i really liked this fic!

As my name implies, I am a very big Anakin/Darth Vader fan, and I must say, I really loved this fic! It is very well written, and I very much agree with your portrail of Anakin. In fact, in one interview, George Lucas said that one reason he decided to make Eps. I, II, I, was that he wanted to show Anakin as a tragic character. I loved your story, and keep up the wonderful work! :)

I'm not really a Star Wars fan. In fact, I just stumbled across this when it appeared on the 'Just In' page. But, I kinda saw parts of episodes 1 and 2, and I DID see the revenge of the Sith - which wasn't all-bad. Pretty much the only character I felt for was Anakin, cuz I'm such a sucker for tortured, evil-not-by-choice characters. (Cole Turner from 'Charmed', the Phantom from 'Phantom of the Opera') All of the above have this dark side of themselves which they need to battle constantly. And the moment they lose - people aren’t late to judge them.

I don't think it's fair to judge them, or in this case Vader. What he did, and what he became - it was all for love. Sure, the road he took was dead wrong, but the thought behind his actions was still in the right place. Still, the wrong thing for the right reason is still wrong, and that is what became his downfall.

I don't get people that don't understand that. Didn't they watch the movie? Didn't they see how all the things in his life toppled over like a set of domino bricks? I so totally agree with you. It's sad, it's tragic and you can't hate the poor guy when knowing his back story.

Anyway, this one-shot reached home. You said all the things I think, and not just about Vader, but about every other anti-hero out there that's been judged and misunderstood by the public. And so because of it (even while I'm hardly a Star Wars fan) I'm gonna add this to my fav list. You did good! I hope your one-shot converted some more people to our side of the world, because it truly is a sad story that he holds, Mr. Dark and Deadly.
