Are you seriously just making up hand signs as you go for these jutsus? You should have just made your own jutsu then, the shadow clone only has two hand signs max, Ram to gather chakra and the Cross is the execution of the jutsu, why the hell are you pulling out Dragon for power, Bird for control and all the others for no reason?

Not to mention the fact that the shadow clone does not actually burn chakra, it splits your chakra evenly amongst your clones and when that clone is dispelled, the chakra returns to your body carrying the memories. Freaking damn i hate when old naruto stories get that wrong. It was labeled a kinjutsu because accidentally splitting your chakra to the point where you don't have the bare minimum to sustain your body can knock you out with chakra exhaustion, making too many beyong the amount of chakra you have can instantly kill you, any jutsu can knock you out due to chakra exhaustion but a kinjutsu can accidentally kill you upon use that's why they are restricted, not even jounin can casually get these jutsu unless they're A rank ninja. The shadow clone is not just restricted to jounin because of chakra levels, it is restricted due to being a kinjutsu

What i hate about old naruto mix in stories is that the ninjutsus are trash, genjutsu is basically ignored and taijutsu is limited to just the konoha basics or gouken if they want to squeeze that in. No sage arts, no tailed beast bomb, no amaterasu, not even any basic elemental jutsu. Just spam shadow clones and kunai with a slap dash of taijutsu and boom that's jounin level

I keep trying to figure out just what Xander's power is, but I can't quite get it. Obviously some spirit connection. Minato's casket had just been sealed by the 3rd, does that mean his spirit was floating about or was he summoned from beyond? His Mom, Uncle and Aunt... A strong personal connection there. But then who was the first, who fought Baki and wrecked a district? I can't think of anyone with a close connection who could've done that. Man, I am so happy I can keep reading and find out. If I had to wait months or longer, this would really bug me.

And where exactly was Xander born? Outsde of one priestess, spiritual powers and connections to beyond aren't really a Naruto trait, but they are very much a Hellmouth trait. I know he was conceived in Konoha, but what would be the consequences of an Uchiha ninja born upon a Hellmouth? Control of spirits? Natural necromancy? A strong predisposition to getting randomly possessed?

I was surprised that Hana lost to Shikamaru. Really, really surprised. She belts him to the ground, and is then slow enough to follow up on that that he is allowed to recover? Worse, Shikamaru, hardly a bastion of chakra reserves or excessive spirit, captures Hana, three full-grown or near grown nin dogs, and can casually explain and walk them about? None even try to break free?

I'm not sure if it's a matter of chakra or willpower that allows one to break the Shadow Imitation, but in either case, Shikamaru should have some trouble with Hana alone. As she is fresh to the fight, not weary or depleted in any way, unlike canon Temari who endured literally hours of tension. Add in three intelligent combat dogs, and this makes little sense to me.

But then, canon often makes little sense too. This same technique caught 5 kage and a smattering of others? Impossible, unreasonable! But no, 1 broke out, because it's not an unbeatable hax move. Of course that was the Hokage, because only our heroes can have spirit. Eh.

Xander is getting alot of fan service, which is great, but why is he running from it? I don't want him to be some pitifully indecisive harem protagonist, he's too tall for that! And what happened to the co-ed bathing bet? He won, and it was never mentioned again. So sad.

Nice move having Orochimaru adapt his plans for Xander's inclusion. He's a cunning and highly flexible villain, so it's always weird when he ignores major changes in fics and proceeds like it's still canon. A second young and vulnerable boy is just what would get Mr Snake's... interest.

Wait, what even happens when you beat multiple Amazon maidens? And is there a time limit on the kiss? Guess I'll find out. Thanks for the story!

Now that is a great death for Ethan. I'm always amazed how rarely he dies, considering how unimportant to continuity he is outside of this one Halloween. Eyghon would be the same, just a little simpler, without him. And band candy doesn't matter at all, unless you really want to make things messy between Joyce and Giles. Still, few have the courage to kill him, even less in so dramatic a manner. Well done sir. Well done.

On a completely different note, have you ever considered the problem of blood breath? I was just reading some of Xander's early thoughts on the downsides of Angel in this fic, and it occurred to me, what would kissing someone who just drank a couple liters of blood taste like? And how easy would it really be to get that taste cleaned out? I will happily kiss a pretty lady with morning breath, but if her lips and breath literally tasted of blood? No, absolutely not. And I don't think a quick rinse with mouthwash would fix that either. I'd love to see that in a fic. Buffy kisses Angel and then rears back, gagging and hacking. And he just stands there, wondering what's going on.

Blood breath. The most reliable killer of hormones and fantasies.

I like the start of this story. I expect it'll keep me busy for some time. Naruto style ninja in the Buffyverse should be great, and the sequel even lists Ranma!

How about xander going as a mishmash of strider ninja giding and naruto characters and then have to deal with naruto world stuff on top of what normal hellmouthy stuff.
