I think you have a good start for a story. You've given a lot of background on the characters, especially the changes, which is nice to see. The interactions between the first years is cute, and Yamato is always fun to read about.

One thing though (and this is just my personal opinion): your use of Japanese. I find it distracting to read a story with random foreign words thrown in, especially when there are English equivalents; it tends to detract from the overall story, because you aren't writing in Japanese, so why are you adding in Japanese dialogue? Also, middle school is read as "chugakkou", not "chuugaku"; similarily, elementary school is "shougakkou". Tournament is "taikai". And "rei" is literally "bow".

This story is quite amazing, and so far for four chapters I've been stunned by the flawless characterizations and the alternative perspective being taken on this particular group. You've done an excellent job giving everyone their respective time "on screen" and I've been enjoying the slight mystery surrounding Fuji, but most of all I feel like I'm finally seeing the series I wanted to see all along in Prince of Tennis, a story about the original, 3rd year regulars and their climb to greatness, instead of Ryoma's story starting as a first year. Your blend of Japanese has been enjoyable too, unlike many other stories I've read where the usage has been done in ignorance or to just sound cool, so I applaud you on applying it so well throughout the story. I look forward to seeing more, and how everyone's relationships develop and grow, so this is definitely going on my favorites list :)

How could Fuji be so ignorant about his own ability? That he is a tensai? It's so sad that everyone misunderstood him. And Tezuka even gave him a cold shoulder. I think Tezuka would say something harsh when Fuji would try to help in clean-duty. Please post the next chapter quickly! Uhm, and I really want to know about what people says about Fuji outside he was a tensai.
