Okay! I've never reviewed a story labeled slash, and I may never do so again. However, this one was short, and your summary stopped me dead in my tracks. So I winced and took a chance...after two lines I couldn’t have stopped even if I’d wanted to.

BEAUTIFUL. I particularly like the hollow feel of the second-to-last line, but all of it was incredible imagery and figurative language to make an English major cry. I live for word art like that.

M. Very cool. The similes in this were quite wonderful because they created such powerful imagery. But perhaps a bit more characterization would be nice. Less beauty to the writing and a bit more O.C. substance.
