tyuo chapter 21 . 7/25 glad to see another chapter and as usual it is really good. well then, see you next year XD |
Guest chapter 21 . 7/21 Thanks so much for this wonderful new chapter! I’m really delighted by the way that Lissa sand Grievous’s relationship is progressing; it’s a subtle and nuanced development of trust and value. I enjoyed the Jedi padawan’s shock and consternation over what he witnessed- Grievous’s actions must have seemed so incongruous and unexpected. Grievous is a calloused and damaged soul and I hope he can find some semblance of peace as a resolution, but however this shakes out it is certain to be marvellously written. Thanks once again, and I eagerly look forward to the next instalment. |
NA chapter 21 . 7/18 YES, UPDATE! I had to put reading this on hold for a while and I was hyped to read it all day. I wasn't disappointed. "General Grievous! General Grievous! Help! Your AGD has gone berserk! It is attacking us! It is—" "Hold your position and end this transmission!" Grievous shouted right back. "The AGD is engaged in a targeting exercise. Do not move and you will not be damaged. Grievous out!" Haha, I just love all the dialogue is this! Your OC Lissa, behaves like a real person, and I like how she's slowly becoming more tolerant of horrible and traumatic things, because that's what people do, adapt, overcome. And the concept of a Jedi 'rescuing' her was brilliant, (And who knows, if Grievous stayed an asshole, she might have escaped!) Lissa doesn't exactly look like she'd belong in a droid hellscape and I hope she uses more of that trait in the future, think "wolf in sheep's clothing," subterfuge. I want her to accidentally trick more people by appearance alone. Anyway, good work! |
tobi tobi is a good boy chapter 21 . 7/17 I am so amazingly happy to see this updating again. Keep up the good work, please. |
Clawshock chapter 21 . 7/11 I love this story! Thank you so much for the update! |
Kimsa Ki-Lurria chapter 21 . 7/11 I can't believe we're nearing the end of what was once your summer project, back in 2005! Only four more chapters to go! Aaaah! I can feel the tension and the dread rising in this chapter, especially with that last scene, where Lissa considered just giving up and escaping with the Jedi padawan. I was on the edge of my seat, wondering if this was going to be a plot twist...but then Grievous roared right up and put a stop to that. That poor, earnest, unlucky padawan. He just stumbled right into a really bad situation. (Also, I'm...sad for Sunny. And for Lissa. She had a rough time this chapter. Got caught in an explosion, lost Sunny, and she's now separated from Nagas, Attenbro and the other members of her team. Oof.) Your imagery is so striking; I think the two scenes that stood out to me the most were the scene where Lissa experiences flight in the fanblade, and the scene where Grievous melts a planet from orbit. The first was fun and awe-inspiring, just to imagine what it would be like to fly in space with only those few inches of transparisteel between you and the stars, and the second was horrifying. We definitely aren't allowed to forget just who and what Grievous is. I'm really excited to see how canon changes as we approach the battle of Coruscant. Thank you for sharing all of your hard work! |
Guest chapter 21 . 7/11 Yaay! An update! This chapter was awesome! |
Lanny-Sama chapter 21 . 7/11 Oh mannn! I love this chapter - the moments where Grievous and Lissa interact are some of my favourites from the whole story, and this chapter had so much of it! I really enjoy that Grievous is still a war criminal and monster, and his 'human'inty returning does not change him into a do-gooder in a moment. I feel sorry for that Jedi, even though he killed Sunny. I wonder if word of Lissa's importance to the General will spread - I''m not up to date on my Star Wars lore, but I seem to remember that Padawans have a connection with their teachers that they can communicate through ? Great story, awesome chapter, RiP Sunny... |
D4rK Sid3 chapter 21 . 7/10 Fantastic returning chapter. I cant wait for the next array of emotions! D4rK |

Kimsa Ki-Lurria chapter 19 . 7/1 Me, desperate for an update during quarantine: Help us, Heimchen, you're our only hope. |
Jessie chapter 20 . 6/6 Oooookay, I re-read the whole story 3 times now, and the more often I read it the more I love it! Excited for the next chapter! |
NA chapter 20 . 6/4 Whoo, I read ALL this and the world-building is splendid! It's Star Wars so lots of things are a given, but I really like how you characterized the Geonosians, made them likable as piggish bug-people. Oh, and Lissa! I don't normally like OCs but she really grew on me and I'm a tab bit upset she isn't an actual canon character. And I like how Grievous's family didn't just blindly accepted him. I think this is the first fanfic I've read that did, and how he slowly accepted Dooku's betrayal is great! And Dooku's characterization is spot on and the dinner scene is probably the most memorable for me. I really hope this story continues one day, I really want to see Grievious smash Dooku's face in. |
