Irrelevant2 chapter 1 . 1/16/2012
Ah, i remember this...

Great song, tragic story. I might even have cried a bit...not sure after so many years;-).

Doesn't matter who you ship, they each have their own pain and you portrayed that so very well.

Great work.

garretelliot chapter 1 . 6/10/2005
This is so moving and sad. I wish there were more to it but I guess I'll just have to read it several more times. I love the way you caught so much emotion in just a few words. The internal conflict was amazing and the characterizations are wonderful. Can't wait for your next story.
Mucada chapter 1 . 6/7/2005
Wonderful descriptions.

Good use of Bruce, too. (Although, I'm not quite sure if the Turnpike would ever be deserted. I live above a NJ highway and the noise goes on way into the night.)

Well done, though. Very sad and angsty, but in a clear, not so despressed type of way.

ohfrick chapter 1 . 6/5/2005
You have a wonderful way with descriptions and insight into characters. There are so many sentences I love in this piece.

"You live and you move on, and if you're lucky you forget. You don't go back. You don't turn around and you don't pass go and you do not collect 200 dollars and you do not pretend that you are strong enough to go back."

"...and she did not feel mad and she did not feel resentful because she had taught herself not to."

It truly is a beautiful work; I've added it to my favorites.
