This was so pretty in a simple, darkish way. (Not really gothic, but it's not like it was a happy happy sunny day, now, was it?) I like the rainy mood, and Rukia's contrast to it. Rainy days tend to signify some form of angst, but I like how you turned it more into a childhood memory. A touch of angst, maybe, but that just made the story all the more wonderful.

Somehow I really, really attracted to how you didn't use quotes at all. It paints a picture. D
