Reviews for At the End of All Things
AngelQueen chapter 10 . 1/19/2015
I remember reading the early chapters of this story years ago over at the JC boards, and I was delighted to find it again here! It's so beautifully written, so full of emotion. I love the contrast of the two timelines, from the youthful outlook of the TPM era to the heartbreaking tragedy of the post-ROTS timeline. It's all so lovely.

Thanks so much for sharing! I love it and hope you get a chance to update it again sometime. :)
Mary chapter 10 . 11/1/2013
I love this story! And I love the way you're developping the relationship between Sabe and Obi-Wan... I'm really happy you updated this :) Great work!

UnfathomableDiscrepancy chapter 9 . 6/8/2012
This is such a beautiful fan fiction! Given when you last updated this, I kind of doubt you'll be continuing at this rate; but I'm adding it to my alert, just in case. Because it's just. that. good. I literally have nothing to critique on it (and I usually can find a thing or two when concocting constructive criticism).

Furthermore, I am absolutely besotted with your depiction of these two lovely characters. You kept Obi-wan true to his nature, and Sabe is the farthest thing from a Mary-Sue. She's *really* likeable and strong-willed. I am super impressed with the format and delivery of this story, and I hope your rekindle your desire to write this someday. I will be an avid follower should this be the case. Best wishes to you and however your life is treating you thus far. :) I hope to see more from your writing soon. You have some raw talent.
Guest chapter 9 . 5/11/2011
Alway hate to see an good story unfinish. Hope you pick up this story again.
Doesn't Matter chapter 9 . 4/29/2009
I just found this recently and read it all in one sitting and I love it - absolutely love it. Which is why I'm sad that it hasn't been updated in almost 4 years... just when it was getting to the good parts too (not that all of it hasn't been fantastic - I just have a penchant for younger Obi-Wan). Now I'll never know how everything developed, unless you would be so kind as to change that :P
Hearts A Mess chapter 4 . 1/5/2009
Fantastic! This is so well written. The transition between scenes and past and present are very well done.

walutahanga chapter 9 . 7/7/2006
I thought I was too tired to review, but then you had to go and break my heart with chapter nine. That simple, powerful image of them dancing at the end of things, filled with such pain and regret, and yet still loving one another... I've still got goosebumps.

I was sort of wavering on the edge of Sabe/Obi-Wan shippiness and you just converted me utterly. Damn you. I like the way you've set it up as a tragic, doomed kind of love because that's exactly what it would be. I can see no other way for it to work out. Obi-Wan will always be a Jedi, and Sabe (your version of her at least) will always have her drive to fight the good fight. This is my favourite kind of doomed romance. There's no Romeo&Juliet-esque urge to destroy themselves for that love. They both have the courage to walk away, which is probably ultimately much harder and much more painful. That's why I'll always prefer Sabe/Obiwan over Anakin/Padme any day.

This is also a very human story. I love the way you fill in the scenes between Obi-Wan and the Handmaidens. In the movie, they just seem to stand around and let the jedi tell them what to do. But you've created an excellent sense of what it must be like for them; the frustration of not knowing what was going on. It was very amusing - and very cool - to see Obi-Wan chastised by Sabe. And that moment where they almost end up attacking one another - it doesn't matter how many times it's been done before, it still works.

I think I had more to say, but I really need to get to bed. Anyway, beautiful story and I hope you update sometime.

Gaswn chapter 9 . 6/15/2006
I thought the ending was very sweet, very cool. And if this indeed is the ending, it's kind of cool to keep it open-ended. But I would like to know more about the back story :-D
Triss Kelion chapter 9 . 4/20/2006
Very, very good story. Nice to see a more complex and original Sobiwan story than the average on I like how present and past mix. I'm still waiting for some kind of closure here, so I hope that it is not finished yet. I want to know the rest of the story between those two. And I think you made Sabe/Obi-Wan very believable :) And it certainly isn't boring, au contraire, makes me read every word, no skipping ;) really.
Addicted to Antics chapter 1 . 3/29/2006
This was beautiful :) I think that the dance at the end was sweet, yet slightly out of place. Which is cool, because quirkythe new not quirky man... Anyway, good, solid writing!
