Reminds me of that joke about the old farmer who sold a mule. He had said it was a hard-working mule, but the new owner couldn't even get it to acknowledge his presence, much less pull a plow. The old farmer came over to investigate the complaint, studied the mule for a moment, nodded, and picked up a two-by-four off a pile by the barn. He swung it as hard as he could and caught the mule a sharp clip right on top of his head. The new owner was flabbergasted. "What the heck are you doing?" he yelled. "Wal," replied the farmer, "he'll work hard, but you gotta get his attention first."

"Illusions" was a phenomenally good read. One might almost say life-changing.

This was really funny. I have a terribly jaded attitude toward tabloids. I also knew a few people who take what they print as gospel. But for my money, if they all just disappeared tomorrow, I'd dance a brief jig of mourning ... that it hadn't happened sooner.
