Great story! Hogan deserves more respect from London. They really don't understand everything he does. Sometimes I don't think his men even understand the full amount of pressure he is under. Well done!

Great story!

I really like this story very much. In fact I read it more than once, because it's so cool. There is one little thing though I don't like: your German is horrible. No offence! I'd be happy to translate anything for you into German, but please, please don't use machine translations anymore.

I started reading this story some time ago, but never finished it. I did not know what I was missing! This is a terrific story. Full of suspense, action, and drama, as well as great introspection and character development. Newkirk and Hogan were especially well-written. You expanded on the TV characters in a believeable and moving way. I've noticed that most of your stories center around their friendship. I'm currently in the middle of 'The Things We Fear' as well (please update soon!), and this story has only deepened my appreciation for the post-war loyalty and friendship between these two men.

What a perfectly marvelous story! It had my favorite subject: Newkirk whump. LOL! I know it had much more than that, but in order to get me to love a story, that's what it needs. ROTFL! So, great job! ;) Write more stories like this, and you'll have me as a fan for life! ;)

Luv-uh-lee! I read the whole thing in one evening :) Although I did miss seeing the lighthearted side of the heroes, you did a fantastic job with the plot - It was very well thought out and executed. You guys also did a great job developing each of the individual personalities. With so many characters to keep track of, I think it would be a struggle to keep them distinct and original, but you did wonderfully! I especially enjoyed Carter's role in the story.

Wonderful story-nicely paced, and with all sort of things I could draw out of there, like the bonding between the men, the level of trust, the way Newkirk and Hogan switched places, as it were, for a day...

Too many good lines to quote, but one that stuck out:

Pass ourselves off? Hogan snorted softly in the dark night. We are escaped prisoners. Except we keep going back!

I love how you had all three of their thoughts, and the fact that Carter is just so completely sure of the others!

Newkirk was just lovely in this one-I really, *really* enjoy Hogan and Newkirk's banter. It's utterly lovely.

And I like the ending of this chapter-their attempts to be light-hearted, but they're all worried about it. Awesome job blending the two.

I'm still enjoying it-and the bit with Hogan struggling between being liason for his men and still having to lead an underground group... well, the stress isn't something I ever really considered before. Excellent way of showing it.

You have Hogan and Newkirk down pat. I mean, the others are amazing as well-you have a grasp on characterization that I envy-but I especially like the interaction between those two the best.

“Take chances? Me? You must have me confused with someone else, gov’nor."

Heh. Perfect.

I also like the way that when I read this, I can feel the plot-some stories you go through the entire thing feeling as if it were a drabble, but I can tell here that you put planning into this and know that you're going to tell a full *story*, not just a snippet.

Nice ending! I will happily wait for the next story for the Big Bad to come up and smack them unawares again.

Good story. It brought Newkirk and Hogan to an understanding of each other. A nice development coming out of all they had to go through. I hope there are more stories to come.
