Oh, looooove this! Kisame is one of my favorite characters, right up there with Gai and Lee and Gaara. Unfortunately, all these characters are often looked over and made to have 1-dimensional personalities; Especially Gai and Kisame. Just because Gai acts like a goof doesn't mean that's all he's capable of; and just because Kisame's a shark-nin doesn't mean he eats who he fucks. (Why is that so common in fanfiction?) All in all, THANK YOU for showing a different facet to Hoshigaki Kisame's personality and mental state, it was written beautifully.

Also, I'd fuck the shit out of Hoshigaki Kisame. I want you to know that.

You gave a great humanizing characterization of Kisame. It's interesting to see his thought process, and how he deals with his disappointment.

This was a nice new angle to Kisame. You both give him such descriptive love and stab a hole in his heart in one quick swing, it's so sweet. I was wondering a bit towards the end if this would end with Kisame eliminating mr. ash-breath just for being somewhat miffed about the state of affairs - or how he'd react to hearing his colleagues took care of it later on. X-)
