OK I'm nearly 15 years late but I loved it! It's April 2020 and we are in lockdown due to Covid19 but I have laughed until I cried

I laughed all through this! Mainly because I can just imagine a mini-Carter doing all that... especially the being on top of the Stargate...

I know this story is quite old and no one may ever see this comment, but I feel the need to share. I'm currently at chapter 3 and a certain line struck me for its focus on the use of the word "unacceptable."

Your story excerpt:
"I turned away from him and vowed to stop using the word unacceptable. Every time I said something was unacceptable, it turned out that I would, in fact, wind up having to accept it."

"Unacceptable" is already a word I mull over rather frequently, because a certain quote about the word from the film Scent of a Woman also struck my interest. Years later I have never quite finished the discussion with myself and come to an acceptable conclusion on the word and what it and the use of it in context means to me. I would like to thank and commend you for these lines in this story as they have given me significant food for thought in this contemplation.

Scent of a Woman excerpt:
"Colonel, this - this is unacceptable.
Unacceptable? What are you givin me that prep school crap for?
What have they done, taken the Oregon out of the boy?
Put in Harvard Business School?"

Now, I'm gonna preface this with the truth. I DONT LIKE KIDDY FICS. A friend recommended this and I'm gonna be honest I was sceptical. It was AMAZING. I laughed out loud reading it. Being the mum of two young girls I could relate so much but some of Baby Carters escapades had me in stitches. Jack handing her the toilet roll and telling her to hold it so she wouldn't drown... I cried with laughter.

Brilliant story! Just brilliant.

I'm not usually one for kidfics, but I LOVED this!

Even after nearly 10 years, this story is such good fun. So engaging and enjoyable. This is a personal favorite of mine. Thank you for sharing!
