Excellent work, I sincerely hope that the author is ok and can continue this great Fanfiction soon.

I hope you are well, and one day return to this story.

Great story, the two franchises work quite well together. Too bad you stopped writing.
I hope you're alright and maybe finish this one day.

Yeah, letting children fly space ships is real smart.

You have a minor biology error in this chapter. B5 humans (and most other younger races) see Vorlons who are outside their suits as angels, and instinctively respond to Shadows with fear and loathing because they have been subjected to genetic engineering by the Vorlons to make both effects happen.

But Confederation races have not been tampered with by Vorlons prior to their arrival, and unless the Vorlons have been perpetrating a truly MASSIVE campaign of abductions, genetic modifications and memory wipes on the Confed Humans, Mopari and Firekkans since their arrival, then they entirely lack those gene mods.

You describe both Luke and Jeff reacting to Shadow vessels in exactly the same way as the other, which is also exactly the way B5 humans do in this chapter - but Luke and Jeff are not genetically tampered with. Where does that reaction come from?

I have to ask - is the guy named Lefcourt or Leftcourt in your story? I know in B5 canon it's Lefcourt, but every time you mentioned him in the story before chapter 60 you spelled it Leftcourt.

So either you have a recurring typo in the 59 previous chapters, or you have a recurring typo from 60 onwards.

Wow! I came to this story on a tip from Skeet of "A Thin Veneer" fame. I can't believe I haven't seen this before. It's a nice trip down memory lane considering all the time I spent playing Wing Commander. I loved the Admiral's thinking in this chapter and the alien lieutenant did do a great job with the Shai Alyt. Nice writing!

Just realized that I wasn't signed in before...sorry for the double review...well unless it means more chapters for this story, in which case Huzzah!:
~~~~~~~~
I like this story...really...but this whole chapter just leaves a horrible taste in my mouth.
Dr. Franklin acted within the law and his oaths and refused to let his notes be used to commit genocide against the Minbari. He was imprisoned and treated like a traitor and offered a chance to be on a last ditch negotiation team or be left in prison to rot.
Jankowski started this whole mess by completely ignoring his orders then firing on unknown entities before they'd done anything other than ( admittedly ) disruptive scanning. His actions set the whole war in motion, and he's being treated with honor and respect and worry about his rights.
Then you have the General, ignoring the law, and ordering people pulled aside for doing their job and duty within the law, and bullying people to get his way, and using threats to force people to ignore their lawful duties...
To be honest pretty much every high official in this chapter comes across as scum of the lowest order.
So...they can't order the Captain ( who started the war by disobeying his orders and making multiple bad judgement calls ) to go face the music; but the general has no problem manhandling and bullying his own personal who are only doing their jobs and following laws. Well, that's a close box for me.
Difdi chapter 49 . 8/9/2015
The US constitution specifically prohibits Congress from passing any bills of attainder - most Western democracies have similar prohibitions in their own Constitutions.
A bill of attainder is a legislative act that makes it a crime to be something or know something or have done something in the past. For example, outlawing blue eyes would be a bill of attainder, so would retroactively making all members of a political party criminals.
As such, it's clear that the EarthGov Constitution either lacks the prohibition or there is an exigency clause that can override it - amd telepaths scare people enough to invoke it.
If Earth DOES have such a prohibition, then it would be unconstitutional to send noncompliant telepaths to prison for life - though it's possible it's pitched as protective custody to get around the law. Courts tend not to be fooled by such things, but you never know.
If there is no prohibition, it opens up the possibility of having the legislative branch essentially vote someone off the island. Get unpopular enough and suddenly it's specifically illegal to be you, amd you get to go to prison for life, be exiled permanently or be executed for nothing more than existing.
The problem then becomes that what Clark did later on in the timeline could be made retroactively legal and Sheridan and company would not be able to claim the legal high ground. The fact that they could and did means the Constitution must be stronger than that, which means it probably does have the prohibition on bills of attainder.
Sorry to hear about the troubles your family has had, but it's great to see that the story still has a pulse! Finally remembered to track this so I won't miss updates in the future. Not much to say about the chapter other than I liked it, though one nit-pick: If this is the same Clark that takes over the EA in canon B5 then his name is Morgan, not Stephen.
