Oh, nice! I think I've been following this fic for a long time, and I'm super stoked to see it's being revised! :)

Thanks for posting this and letting us know where to find your work! I was surprised to see chariots at the top of my story alerts (sad to say I'd kinda given up and forgotten it), but I'm excited that you're going to rework and continue this fic. I'll go find you on AO3! :D

I dont remember if I commented already when I read this for the first time a few years back but since I just finished re-reading it (again XD) and I have all kinds of thoughts and feelings, I'll write again. :)

Ok, so, firstly, this is one of my absolute favourite fics of all time, no exaggeration. It's absolutely perfect and every time I decide to read it again, it blows my mind all over again. The settings and the plot are so interesting and unique and the way you merge the ancient magic with the modern robots and the futuristic feel of it - I have no idea how you've managed it but you have and it's awesome. And the the way you've weaved the canon elements into the whole thing. I cant imagine how much research and effort and time took to put this all together and make it work so seemingly effortlessly. The plot moves along so nicely and the way you describe everything - I feel like I'm watching a movie with how easily I can picture everything in my head.

Secondly, the characters. Man, oh man, I can gush about them for hours. The way you describe their thoughts and emotions and the reasons for their actions, it all feels so real and powerful and so nuanced in the many different layers they have and I feel for every one of them. Yami's struggle with the guilt and worry and his pain is so so amazing and powerful, I just want to give him a giant hug and never let him go (or have Yugi do it, I'd be totally ok with that XD). Seto's relationship with Blue-Eyes is another one of my favourite elements - the way their bonding is developing is making me feel so many things - like how much it took for Seto to be able to offer his trust like that, to allow himself to be truly open with the dragon and how Blue-Eyes just loves him so freaking much (I always wonder if Kisara will play a role later on, I will die from happiness if she shows up somehow) and whenever Seto's past is mentioned, I get the urge to trottle Gozaburo so much even though he's not even in the story presently. And on that note, Yami's relationship with his own father is also fascinating to see - although they have problems, it's clear they love each other. And just everyone else - Joey, Mai, Duke, Mokuba, etc. - I love them all. I even like the original characters which doesnt happen very often for me so that's another testiment to your writing skills. ;)

And of course, the slow-burn romance is to die for. I think your Yugi is my favourite Yugi - sweet and loving but also badass and able to kick ass and save the day when needed. I love this lil muffin so much, if I loved him any more, I'd turn into Yami probably. XD Every time I re-read their first meeting and their following scenes together, it makes squeel like a crazy person. Even though it's not really *much* when you look at it - it's not grand declarations of love or hot steamy sex scenes or whatever else - it's the beginnings of friendship and something more between them with the first grows of interest so you'd think what's there to get so crazy over, right, but I think maybe *because* it's not something so big (yet?), it's those tiny moments that sew the way to something much bigger later on that make it feel really special to me, to be a part of that and see how they build their relationship from the very beginning, small and big moments included.

So yeah, these were the ramblings of a crazy fangirl. I hope I managed to make a bit of sense somewhere in there.

will this story ever be updated? or is it dead? I hope not i was really enjoying it.. normally I don't read au's but this one is really cool. I really like the way you handled a separate Yami and Yugi.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I started reading this, but I'm definitely glad that I did! I wouldn't have thought of this kind of AU for a story, but the amount of detail you've put into building up the world and characters for it is wonderful. I like the way you've reinterpreted details like the Duel Monsters, inter-character relations, and the Ancient Egyptian roots for the sci-fi setting. The multiple plotlines are all very interesting and I would love to see where this goes next!

This is awesome! You have great talent as a writer. Also, I read about the problems in your life a couple of chapters back and would like to say that I'm sorry to hear that. This story has a great plot and you describe everything so vibrantly that it feels as though you are truly experiencing the emotional and physical turmoil. I hope that your health is okay and look forward to the next chapter!

Ahh, It took me forever to get around to starting this because of "mechs and aliens" in the YGO universe. Seems I wasn't the only one, - and I'm very sorry I waited!

You've created a really intriguing world with this story. I'm just disappointed to see that it looks as though it's been scrapped. Should you get around to updating your fics again, know that you have a lot of fans of this story! (course, that doesn't matter if your writer's block is the size of the planet itself. or if its nearly complete but unable to be rescued.) I was trying to convince myself to stop reading in case there's a huge cliffie ahead of me, but I think I'm too absorbed.. Mmm. Yep, I am.
