I've been reading this story all the way through, but on this chapter I finally felt the urge to review. I looooooved reading all the chapters, and I tried to read only one or two a day so I wouldn't run out of them. Lol. Well, this chapter was so moving, and it really showed the best side of Erik. On the part about him having a Father (can't remember exactly what it said), I was literally crying. It's Erik finally realizing that he doesn't need a surname to have a heavenly Father. You are so epic! because I don't usually see prayer, and God, in fanfics very much. I am a Christian and I think this whole story, especially this chapter, is so special. Thanks Shye.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this continuation of the Phantom's story- thank you! I love the movie, but I am always left unsatisfied at the end. I thought it seemed clear that Meg sought the Phantom when she picked up his mask and continued forward, and I felt that something could develop between Meg and Erik. I love Christine, but there was something that intrigued me even more about Meg; perhaps I relate to her more somehow.

I appreciated your sensitivity to authentic detail and historical relevance; it made your story feel like a beautiful fairytale grounded in reality, if that makes sense. I think that's the best kind. You remained true to the essence of the Phantom's character and personality, as well as what little we saw of Meg's, so your story took off seamlessly and believably from the end of the movie. I have read fan-fiction that has not accomplished this and I always have to stop because I feel like the characters are not those that I have come to know.

I was sucked so completely into the tale you wove that I didn't want to leave my computer- this does not happen easily. I fear I've shirked my duties the past three days!:) Anyway, you explored complex matters of the heart and mind intelligently and fearlessly. The romantically passionate scenes were written expertly enough to give me shivers and quicken my heartbeat, but respectfully enough to keep the story classy- I truly appreciate that. The details devoted to character, clothing, and room/building/furnishings descriptions were absolutely exquisite and delightful.

To sum it up, this is a Phantom of the Opera fan who more than approves of your creation: I sought something like this, and your story has satisfied my thirst and given me peace. It feels funny writing that, but you get invested in characters you care about and you hate feeling like so much of their stories and development are left untold. So again- I thank you, applaud you, and appreciate your talent as a writer and storyteller. If this were a published novel, I would buy it, a movie, I would see it.
