Reviews for Losing Faith in Heros
Crystal Draculura Bloodsucker chapter 1 . 2/26/2016
OMG! ... So that's how Dib got into the paranormal... trying to please his little sister. That's so sad.
Invader Bean chapter 1 . 8/14/2012
Awww... Made me sad...

BUT it was excellent writing and I LOVED IT!.
For Sanity's Sake chapter 1 . 2/26/2011
Aww... the older brother trying forever to restore his little sister's belief in magic, a belief he himself shattered. So tragic, yet so sweet. Thanks for bringing this fic into existance.
JoeMerl chapter 1 . 8/21/2008
Well, while it doesn't seem to me like Dib and Gaz would have had that close of a relationship when they were younger-the flashbacks from "Bad, Bad, Rubber Piggy" seem to show Gaz more or less the same as her future self-the way you ended this was really brilliant. So, overall, an interesting take on their relationship and a good story.
BananaSpice chapter 1 . 8/10/2008

RK Ryune chapter 1 . 9/19/2005
Oh... so sad! It really does make sense though.

Losing faith in heroes...

(goes to write that down, what a great idea) I promise I won't steal it!
Ambico999 chapter 1 . 7/16/2005
Wow. That was really good.
Jiko Teima chapter 1 . 5/23/2005
This is a really original take on this. I feel sort of bad for both of them, really. Excellent job. :)
Ali Vega chapter 1 . 5/9/2005
Wow. I lost a hero once. It was in pretty much the same way. They lied and I pretty much hated them. But that person is gone and out of my life now. I like this I know what it's like to lose a hero.
Dibsthe1 chapter 1 . 5/9/2005
Dib and Gaz, eternally at cross purposes...

Now that's a different, and very original, look at how Gaz came to turn her back on everything in the world except one.

Poor Dib, too. I mean, trying to somehow both get Gaz out of his hair and stay out of trouble himself for doing so. It's plenty obvious that he never in the world intended for Gaz to start leaping off any roofs but his father flips out and belts him anyway... and now both Gaz AND his father are mad at him...
Maran Zelde chapter 1 . 5/7/2005
A good effort, but as the oldest of four I didn't find this convincing.

Sibling rivalry starts at a very young age (you may have noticed baby Gaz knocking down baby Dib's blocks in "Mysterious Mysteries"). Even kids who normally get along well are competetive and jealous of each other. Remember, Dib is only a year older than Gaz. If he were three or four years older, it MIGHT be a different story.

Also, in my opinion, Gaz must have had issues to begin with if she really believed a plastic pony flew out the window when she *saw* Dib throw it. Most five year-olds are a lot smarter than most people give them credit for. Just ask my little brother. He'd never fall for that.

I did like the "she was having an off day" line, though.
Angela 182 chapter 1 . 5/7/2005
This is a really good Gaz fic! I almost want to accept this as fanon, even. Keep writing!
