| Draeconin chapter 6 . 5/17/2011 Not a bad story, but a lot of very OOC behaviour, especially on the part of the Dursleys: much too understanding, especially when they are NOT in the habit of thinking before blaming Harry for anything and everything. Nor do I think the talks you have alluded to between the Dursleys and Dumbledore would have had any lasting effect. Any modifications towards being less tyrannical would have been very grudging and resentful. They do not see Harry as being human, so would resent being forced to treat him as such. Personally, I think everyone is being far too easy-going and forgiving, including (and especially) Harry. Mind you, I'm not fond of angst, but I would have expected some righteous anger and resentment towards certain people along with Harry's desire to work and improve himself and his skills. |
